Is it possible to get a good laptop for around $500?

  1. I need a laptop for school pretty bad. If I buy in that price range, am I gonna end up with a piece of crap? I don't game that much so i will sacrifice gaming related functionality if it stoll runs well in other aspects. I just want a relatively efficient computer that's not gonna turn out to be slow and clunky after I install a bunch of programs.

    Any tips?

  2. mine was like 400 or something and its freaking amazing, toshiba satellite L755. check it out, best use of 400$ ive ever had

  3. Getting open box or refurbished items always helps save a bit of money. Just make sure the warranty is still good (if you are about that). But nah you should be able to get something decent for $500.

Are you in college? If so, see if they have a laptop program or something. Many schools will allow you to buy em at a discount ;)

  4. I got this one, $300 new, I'm lovin' it. Usually I wouldn't recommend Best Buy but this was a great deal.
