I have a 1000w HPS/MH light with a magnetic ballast. I only have three ladies and I am keeping them small. any suggestions?
You're gonna need an electronic ballast for dimming. Not sure how many options are available if any for magnetic ballasts.
They say the cheaper lamps have frequency resonance issues and are prone to failure on digital ballasts. It might work long enough until you can get a new one. Search craigslist if you're interested in upgrading to an electronic ballast. You'll be able to find barely used Hortilux and Digilux lamps that will do exceptionally well.
