Is it dying? I'm really worried, please give me some tips.

  1. First Grow.
Indoor, no fans. Soil. DIY Growbox. Currently running with a really cheap chinese LED white light, will upgrade to a little projector light in a few days. Using a plastic box for a pot, waiting for my big one to deliver.
Feeding it with some BIO GROW fertilizer can't upload a pic rn. I think its overwatering, i water every 3 or 4 days. Please you guys are my last hope.
EDIT: Forgot to mention here where i live its, winter and its cold i mean 5 degrees Celcius or so.
Also how to heat up the growbox, cuz i'm afraid to leave a electric fan heater on 24/0

  2. I think you pretty much nailed it. Get that better lighting, lay off the watering for a few days, and keep an eye on them.

  3. First off, I'm new too so I don't have much experience to speak from but I have researched extensively on and off for many years. I imagine most of my advice will be knowledge I haven't tested.

I think you'll be fine, definitely don't need to be worried. Overwatering fixes itself and your plant is looking good, maybe a little stretchy but it looks to be sativa dominant which is what they do but I don't have experience with them.

Once you get your better light the temps will rise so you're already on the right track for that.

Generally, tinfoil is a horrible reflector for light because it ends up being better at reflecting heat, but you could play that to your advantage. I would reccomend flattening it out much better though because the other issue with tinfoil is hot spots. I figure you went with tinfoil to keep things as cheap as possible, and I can understand that, but you're probably gonna be better off lining with printer paper to keep things cheap.

Also your homemade box looks very small, and your pot seems to be a 2L icecream container? I'm growing in a PC case so I'm on a super small scale too, I would be using those if I had an extra 4cm to fit 2 of them in. Use whatever you want as a pot honestly as long as light cant get to the roots, the only thing to keep in mind is that the pot will determine how big the plant can get. Smaller pot smaller plant, use something to suit your grow space. Googling images of micro grows or 12/12 from seed should give you an idea of how this goes.

It is almost essential to train your plant in small spaces, so I would read up on LST and topping to get familiar with them.

The first grow can be scary, I had a good practice run because my first plant was one single male (running my next grow now) but if you do research you'll be fine. If you have enough light and the plant is green then you're doing good.

    Good luck!

  4. Thanks so much for the fast replies, i'm looking forward to installing the new light and fixing my pot.
The strain is Easy Bud, but i have a lot of seeds. I have Northern Lights, White Widow, Blue Cheese, LSD etc.
Since im a beginner i decided to get myself a lot of seeds since im more likely to fuck up things.

  5. I do not think its gonna die ,,yellowing upper leaves looks like stressed maybe some light problem to me,how close to the light ?
Seaweed helps in this stuations as foliar feed,,it happend to me and seaweed solved the problem,i use biobizz alg a mic as foliar sprey works wonders

  6. The light is about 5 cm away BUT its a 9w really weak white Chine LED

  7. So there is no heat problem from light ? Maybe its too close and no air circulation thats why?
Seaweed will help takes the stress away i think mate

  8. There is no heat problem, i need heat its really cold here.
I just need a biger light i think. I will try the seaweed thnx.

  9. your going to have to bite the bullet and get them night temps up the uptake of Phosphorus will be slowed down you will be left with stunted growth and leaf discoloration Phosphorus is essential to all living life forms and cannabis is no exception. It is a very important macro element its important for root development stem strength its important for resistant to disease nutrient uptake and formation of flowers and yield. as i understand it everything a cannabis plant needs to grow and growth development are explicitly dependent on Phosphorus.

  10. youll want at least 100 wtts of light for one plant. your soil is overwatered you can put holes at bottom of container in the sides of it to help air out soil and dry a little better. because at 3 to4 days per water is normal for that so your issue is container is big and roots have not develpoed to bottom of container and water does not dry out due to size and little water consumption your plant has very little light and cant get any bigger. also watch light height from plant looks like its stretching.

  11. that is a great example of a set up for one plant. there may be a simuliar sized planter here but the light alows the plant to be bigger and have bigger roots allowing for more water absorbtion. i put holes in mine for better airmovment through the soil and good run off alowance to keep soil from from nuit logging. using 1000plurple and 1000 cob one oscilating fan shit ass space not gunna lie lol. but hell if i can do this any one can depending on their motivation. happy growings.

  12. btw dont use pans like i did for water catch. that was me bieng sloppy.

  13. For sure for one plant I had a clone given to me figured wth I got a 400 watt and two 150 hps for my new room

  14. oh yea just depends on your motivation. nice plant btw. happy growings.

  15. HPS will heat it up a bit to keep it growing.

  16. oh yea hid is definatly one way of making heat. but if you go this way id get a timer for your ventilation cause the temps will play musical chairs lol. unless you find a perfect match its hard to do but is doable.

  17. Your plant is too wet to develop a full root system.
Buy a moisture probe (combo'd with pH + light meter is good) or use a wooden toothpick or chopstick to test the moisture in the soil by inserting it towards the edge of the pot for about 10 or 12 minutes. If it comes out wet, don't water it.
When you've got it in its new pot, you've got a handle on watering, and it's grown out to the full width of the pot and has at least 5 nodes, crop off the top couple. Your plant will catch up on root development as it gears up to grow out.

  18. not nessicarily i would stick toothpick in if its wet wen pulled out within 30 seconds its wet you dont want it completely dry as youll will underwater causing stress dryout and kill roots. you need some moisture. i prefer to check by weight it will feel lighter than normal if dry and heavier when wet cant give an exact reading to tell you just pick up on it. as for croping i wouldnt do any of this and expect root growth just a difference in yield do not crop tops unless you plan on topping the plant alway trim bottom inside to out to reduce wasted energy from leafs the plant will try to keep alive vrs ones that are getting all the light the tops it wont kill the plant it just puts that extra energy into the parts getting the light. if you want root growth more water at less interverals and micro oranisms plus root specific nuits. thats how you get your roots bigger in order to accomplish you need appropriate lighting for the plant and proper ventalation so soil can dry out better by using dilled holes in side of cantainer or by using fabric planters.

  19. If a toothpick is wet after being in soil for 30 seconds, then that soil was already wet to the touch, and you should probably wait at least a day or two before even considering another watering in soil.

Plants need air as well as water to properly develop roots in soil. Your plant is not getting enough air, because it has too much water. Aerating the sides of that homemade pot isn't a bad idea while you wait for the permanent one, as prpgdad suggested. You can just punch a bunch of little holes in the sides so air can get at the dirt.

Topping also definitely promotes root growth in cannabis plants. It will affect your yields by making them bigger. Strongly recommended for this plant once it's settled.
