Is it a bad idea to put a piece in the freezer?

  1. I think it is. And yet, I keep wanting to do it.

Like, my bubbler..... I wanna stick i tin the freezer and let the water get nice and cold.... but then when i use it it will heat.... and that may cause it to break....

Yep. having cold glass with very hot stuff in it is a very bad idea.

Even if you have a pyrex piece I wouldn't reccomend it, there will be imperfections and it's just likely to destroy your bowl.

If you have any metal wood ceramic or stone bowls, those would be fine tho.
  3. I gave away or sold all my metal pipes. I have a wooden one... but it sucks ass.....

    Oh well...

  4. why dont you just put water in the freezer to make it cold, then poor it into your bubbler, then it wont break when you smoke, cuz the bowl peice will warm up after a few hits before the icewater can make it too cold
  5. I've always wanted to do this too, but I've been too scared. Would I be good if I put my bong in the freezer but not the slide?
  6. Eh, I'm too lazy.

I'm only smoking a lil pressed keif anyway. I just got out a regular bowl.

    Thanks guys.

  7. Might make it a lil safer, but what's the point? it's really only useful on dry piecces.

If you ever come accross a ceramic piece you like, i've heard they work very well with the freezing technique, altho I've never even used one warm.
  8. I have a small ceramic bong with a metal slide, I might have to throw it in the freezer and try this out.
  9. just make some ice water
