Is hydro cost-effective?

  1. Hello Everyone,

I've been doing research on putting together a little 6 plant bubbler system and the
system itself isn't that pricey.. but the nutrients look unreal. Is it really worth it to go
hydro and need all these specialized hydro nutes?

Looks like it would run $300-$500 for nutes alone for the first six months!

I haven't actually done it so I cant speak from experience.. am I right or am I wrong?

    Thanks!

  2. idk about hydro nutes, or them being 300-500 dollars, what i do know tho is this: with a 6 plant set-up, it 6 months, alls it would take is 1 oz of some fire to cover those costs.... you think u could grow 1 oz of some fire with a 6 plant system, and 6 months??

id think you could use regular old nutes, i duno about specialized hydro nutes.... im pretty sure foxfarm would work in that set-up... but wait for a hydro expert.
