Is Human Society and Consciousness a Never-Ending Cycle of Negativity?

Discussion in 'Philosophy' started by belovedabcs, Jan 1, 2014.

1. So I've been thinking, throughout the ages human expansion and human suffering seem quite related. Humans seem to be a leach to each other and mother Earth. The more humans there are the more resources are taken, and there is more suffering to animals, other humans, and to the environment. Overpopulation I think is a huge problem, and I find it so frustrating that people just keep making more and more babies. Don't get me wrong i love children, but children take up room and resources. Before a couple have a baby they need to think of the responsibility not only of their family, but of the entire human race. I mean does the Earth really need one more baby? I get that humans have this instinct and want for a family, but we need to look past these feelings and hormones for the greater good of earth and humanity. If you want a child ADOPT, dont make a new child! I also think that human curiosity to know more and expand is also humanity's downfall. We can never know it all, our universe is infinitly diverse yet we need more and more technology to know more and more. Just like ancient Rome our society finds this need to go up and up the exponensial growth-graph, until it reaches it's limit and either famine, war, or somthing causes the human race to downsize again, until we do the same thing all over again......why cant humans be content?

2. Population will start to level off soon. It doesn't need to happen with a war, or with famine, it will just stop growing as people stop having more children. Populations have already started to stabilize in most of Western Europe and also in Japan. This is just because people are getting closer to having, on average, 2 children. If every person has on average 2 children, the population will be stable (if that seems unreasonable, just think 'each child belongs to 2 parents'). China's population is still growing because the old are being kept alive longer, and once we go through another generation or two, the population will be stable.

You also can't take away the right for two people in love to have children. Having a child with another person is really a beautiful experience to people with souls. If I want to have a child, I'll have one, and won't care that you say, "Why can't I be content to adopt?" Don't blame me having a child on the suffering of animals. That's caused by a triad of giant meat-packaging monopolist corporations.

"Children take up time and resources" .... do you understand that children are growing up to be the next generation of adults? Children are absolutely necessary for human civilization to progress, to grow, and you trivialize them by saying they take up time and resources, as if that was a wasteful allocation of time and resources.

Children are not the problem. Children will always be necessary. If you want to stop the suffering of animals, go to the people responsible. It's not children who butcher them, I can tell you that.

And what does "a leach to mother Earth" even mean? Yes, we're changing the planet slightly, and we're going to have to learn how to clean it up as we go along. But the solution isn't to go back to the stone age. We need a more intuitive solution to maintain our environment than "stop making more people". Don't take away people's right to make families, because families are important. Take away the harmful, excessive corporations who lobby against energy independence reform.

Overpopulation isn't a huge concern in my mind, eventually we will reach our capacity and some time after that if we are still around, we will begin to colonize (or infect) other planetary systems.

Of course, the real problem to me is creating sustainable living practices for society so that we can, and will, eventually reach the ability to expand our capacity as a species. These sustainable living practices would actually, in my opinion, involve some scaling-back of technological innovation until currently existing technologies and resources can be made sustainable. As of now, technological advancements are being made faster than we can appropriately implement these technologies into our lives in a sustainable manner. Planned obsolescence and the use of precious resources to manufacture nearly ubiquitous technologies cannot be sustained. Organic computing must become commonplace in our near future, not to mention a complete overhaul of our current economic, political, industrial, social, and agricultural practices. Unfortunately, the US would like to be a leader in the future for developing and pioneering sustainable technologies but is the same country that made it standard practice to adopt unsustainable practices without hesitation.

An illusion it will be, so large, so vast it will escape their  perception.

Those who will see it will be thought of as insane.

We will create separate fronts to prevent them from seeing the connection between us.

We will behave as if we are not connected to keep the illusion alive. Our goal will be accomplished one drop at a time so as to never bring suspicion upon ourselves. This will also prevent them from seeing the changes as they occur.

We will always stand above the relative field of their experience for we know the secrets of the absolute.

We will work together always and will remain bound by blood and secrecy. Death will come to he who speaks.

We will keep their lifespan short and their minds weak while pretending to do the opposite.

We will use our knowledge of science and technology in subtle ways so they will never see what is happening.

We will use soft metals, ageing accelerators and sedatives in food and water, also in the air.

They will be blanketed by poisons everywhere they turn.

The soft metals will cause them to lose their minds. We will promise to find a cure from our many fronts, yet we will feed them more poison.

The poisons will be absorbed through their skin and mouths, they will destroy their minds and reproductive systems.

From all this, their children will be born dead, and we will conceal this information.

The poisons will be hidden in everything that surrounds them, in what they drink, eat, breathe and wear.

We must be ingenious in dispensing the poisons for they can see far.

We will teach them that the poisons are good, with fun images and musical tones.

Those they look up to will help. We will enlist them to push our poisons.

They will see our products being used in film and will grow accustomed to them and will never know
their true effect.

When they give birth we will inject poisons into the blood of their children and convince them it is for their help.

We will start early on, when their minds are young, we will target their children with what children love most, sweet things.

When their teeth decay we will fill them with metals that will kill their mind and steal their future.

When their ability to learn has been affected, we will create medicine that will make them sicker and cause other diseases for which we will create yet more medicine.

We will render them docile and weak before us by our power.

They will grow depressed, slow and obese, and when they come to us for help, we will give them more poison.

We will focus their attention toward money and material goods so they many never connect with their inner self. We will distract them with fornication, external pleasures and games so they may never be one with the oneness of it all.

Their minds will belong to us and they will do as we say. If they refuse we shall find ways to implement mind-altering technology into their lives. We will use fear as our weapon.

We will establish their governments and establish opposites within. We will own both sides.

We will always hide our objective but carry out our plan.

They will perform the labour for us and we shall prosper from their toil.

Our families will never mix with theirs. Our blood must be pure always, for it is the way.

We will make them kill each other when it suits us.

We will keep them separated from the oneness by dogma and religion.

We will control all aspects of their lives and tell them what to think and how.

We will guide them kindly and gently letting them think they are guiding themselves.

We will foment animosity between them through our factions.

When a light shall shine among them, we shall extinguish it by ridicule, or death, whichever suits us best.

We will make them rip each other's hearts apart and kill their own children.

We will accomplish this by using hate as our ally, anger as our friend.

The hate will blind them totally, and never shall they see that from their conflicts we emerge as their rulers. They will be busy killing each other.

They will bathe in their own blood and kill their neighbours for as long as we see fit.

We will benefit greatly from this, for they will not see us, for they cannot see us.

We will continue to prosper from their wars and their deaths.

We shall repeat this over and over until our ultimate goal is accomplished.

We will continue to make them live in fear and anger though images and sounds.

We will use all the tools we have to accomplish this.

The tools will be provided by their labour.

We will make them hate themselves and their neighbours.

We will always hide the divine truth from them, that we are all one. This they must never know!

They must never know that colour is an illusion, they must always think they are not equal.

Drop by drop, drop by drop we will advance our goal.

We will take over their land, resources and wealth to exercise total control over them.

We will deceive them into accepting laws that will steal the little freedom they will have.

We will establish a money system that will imprison them forever, keeping them and their children in debt.

When they shall band together, we shall accuse them of crimes and present a different story to the world for we shall own all the media.

We will use our media to control the flow of information and their sentiment in our favour.

When they shall rise up against us we will crush them like insects, for they are less than that.

They will be helpless to do anything for they will have no weapons.

We will recruit some of their own to carry out our plans, we will promise them eternal life, but eternal life they will never have for they are not of us.

The recruits will be called "initiates" and will be indoctrinated to believe false rites of passage to higher realms. Members of these groups will think they are one with us never knowing the truth. They must never learn this truth for they will turn against us.

For their work they will be rewarded with earthly things and great titles, but never will they become immortal and join us, never will they receive the light and travel the stars. They will never reach the higher realms, for the killing of their own kind will prevent passage to the realm of enlightenment. This they will never know.

The truth will be hidden in their face, so close they will not be able to focus on it until its too late.

Oh yes, so grand the illusion of freedom will be, that they will never know they are our slaves.

When all is in place, the reality we will have created for them will own them. This reality will be their prison. They will live in self-delusion.

When our goal is accomplished a new era of domination will begin.

Their minds will be bound by their beliefs, the beliefs we have established from time immemorial.

But if they ever find out they are our equal, we shall perish then. THIS THEY MUST NEVER KNOW.

If they ever find out that together they can vanquish us, they will take action.

They must never, ever find out what we have done, for if they do, we shall have no place to run, for it will be easy to see who we are once the veil has fallen. Our actions will have revealed who we are and they will hunt us down and no person shall give us shelter.

This is the secret covenant by which we shall live the rest of our present and future lives, for this reality will transcend many generations and life spans.

This covenant is sealed by blood, our blood. We, the ones who from heaven to earth came.

This covenant must NEVER, EVER be known to exist. It must NEVER, EVER be written or spoken of for if it is, the consciousness it will spawn will release the fury of the PRIME CREATOR upon us and we shall be cast to the depths from whence we came and remain there until the end time of infinity itself.

Human civilization and our species as a whole seems synonymous with struggle and negativity because it is. We are the first generation who has ever had time to sit around and do anything for leisure, let alone chat in cyberspace with one another on a specially designed forum for ideas and like-minded individuals to come together. Life for our species has been this continuous uphill battle against astronomical odds to survive on a planet that is ever-changing, largely unexplored (at the time), and on top of that we've had to learn to deal with each other- the result of which has been us going to war since we were in fucking small tribes with a very basic hierarchy consisting of physically-tailored gender roles.

However, simply because this is the way that it's always been, does not mean this is the way that it has to be. We don't have to have conflict to some extent (although eradication of it entirely is not realistic to me), we don't have to have religious intolerance, we don't have to have intolerance and ignorance towards anyone's sexual orientation or choices due to those religious practices or contrasting ideologies, we don't have to have the same corrupt leaders, bureaucrats, lobbyists, and politicians in office when we could defund them, we don't have to allow Hollywood to swing it's fucking dick wherever it wants all over the planet simply because they make fucking movies- the majority of which are fucking terrible and should be pirated for free since they are certainly not worth the now-ridiculous price of a movie ticket. Progressive, proactive steps in the right direction, which we see every day (along with a few steps backwards as well to be realistic), can break the cycle. The patterns, however, will remain.

I said this in another thread recently, human civilization exhibits these very obvious patterns throughout history that are almost predictable down to decades. You have these waves of mental, artistic, sexual, and spiritual exploration, periods of intense darkness and war (which personally I think we are now coming out of and kind of moving more into a technological era of innovation and spiritual reform), and then you have a period of innovation and discovery. Technology is a catalyst, but it alone will not determine how the world ends up. Humans, as a species governing every continent in this world, save Antarctica, have a moral obligation to each other and to this planet to back up technology with strong policy so that we can ensure the survival of our race, and the lives of every other species we honestly lord over on this earth. The choice has and always will be ours. With information sharing and the internet becoming an integral part of the lives of the people, and not just big business, progressive action and protesting have never been so effective. Look at what happened with the Arab Spring. Look at how Anonymous single-handedly opposed the Church of Scientology in an effort to cut off the cancer at the root. Look at how Wikileaks and Bradley Manning (now Chelsea Manning) have outed American war crimes in the face of bloodshed masquerading as patriotism years after 9/11. Look at what Edward Snowden did by disclosing what the NSA does, now the entire world is aware of what is referred to as "The Manhattan Project of our age". These are not things I feel the general public should sweep under the table. The price for these steps in the right direction were paved in years, blood, sweat, tears, and sanity. If we all do our part collectively, we can greatly reduce the amount each individual has to sacrifice.

8. your post touches on something either extremely deep, or extremely fabricated....that entire side of youtube seems to lean on the fabricated side though...

9. your quote answers my question, we as a whole fall into patterns, i was just wondering why, and if it's even possible as one consciousness to push forward against the negative things we create, but I'm really not sure. Whether if it's because humans in our core are negative, or whether its just that our race is so widly spread that unification and peace can't properly or effectivly be faught for, but when mindsets and ideas are pushed forward for the greater good they're called revolutions... im just wondering if it's possible to have not just a cultural revolution, but more a human-wide revolution for unitiy and peace.... idk if any of that just made sense

Research secret societies and the world banking and government systems. You will find that individuals within these groups have spoken of such a conspiracy, sometimes indirectly and sometimes so brazenly that it becomes undeniable. Others have learned of their secrets and attempted to expose them, sometimes resulting in assassinations. It is a conspiracy that runs deep.

"It is easy to conceive that great evils to our contry and its institutions might flow from such a concentration of power in the hands of a few [who are] irresponsible to the people.Controlling our currency, receiving our public moneys, and holding thousands of our citizens in dependence... would be more formidable and dangerous than a military power of the enemy..." - 1832, President Andrew Jackson

America's foreign policy is now being run by the International Monetary Fund. When the president decides to go to war he no longer needs a declaration of war from Congress." Robert Reich Jan 7, 1999 USA Today

"The bankers own the Earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough money to buy it back again. However, take away from them the power to create money, and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of bankers the pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money." - Sir Josiah Stamp Former Director of The Bank of England

"We are grateful to the Washington Post, the NY Times, Time Magazine, and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years. It would have been impossible to for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. "We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality-judiciously, as you will-we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors... and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do." - Karl Rove

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State." - Joseph Goebbels

“It was not my intention to doubt that, the Doctrines of the Illuminati, and principles of Jacobinism had not spread in the United States. On the contrary, no one is more truly satisfied of this fact than I am. The idea that I meant to convey, was, that I did not believe that the Lodges of Free Masons in this Country had, as Societies, endeavoured to propagate the diabolical tenets of the first, or pernicious principles of the latter (if they are susceptible of seperation). That Individuals of them may… actually had a separation [sic] of the People from their Government in view, is too evident to be questioned.” – George Washington, 1st President of the United States (1789–1797), from a letter that Washington wrote on October 24, 1798, which can be found in the Library of Congress

“A power has risen up in the government greater than the people themselves, consisting of many and various powerful interests, combined in one mass, and held together by the cohesive power of the vast surplus in banks.” – John C. Calhoun, Vice President (1825-1832) and U.S. Senator, from a speech given on May 27, 1836

“Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people.  To destroy this invisible government, to befoul the unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics is the first task of the statesmanship of the day.”- Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt, An Autobiography, 1913

“A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is privately concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men… [W]e have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated, governments in the civilized world-no longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and the duress of small groups of dominant men.” – Woodrow Wilson, 28th President of the United States, The New Freedom, 1913

“Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of something.  They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.” – Woodrow Wilson, 28th President of the United States, The New Freedom, 1913

“The very word “secrecy” is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings… Our way of life is under attack. Those who make themselves our enemy are advancing around the globe… no war ever posed a greater threat to our security. If you are awaiting a finding of “clear and present danger,” then I can only say that the danger has never been more clear and its presence has never been more imminent… For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence–on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations. Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried, not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed.” - John F Kennedy, 35th President of the United States, from a speech delivered to the American Newspaper Publishers Association on April 27, 1961 and known as the “Secret Society” speech

“The Rockefellers and their allies have, for at least fifty years, been carefully following a plan to use their economic power to gain political control of first America, and then the rest of the world.  Do I mean conspiracy? Yes, I do. I am convinced there is such a plot, international in scope, generations old in planning, and incredibly evil in intent.” Congressman Larry P. McDonald, November 1975, from the introduction to a book titled The Rockefeller File.

“There exists a shadowy government with its own Air Force, its own Navy, its own fundraising mechanism, and the ability to pursue its own ideas of national interest, free from all checks and balances, and free from the law itself.” – Daniel K. Inouye, US Senator from Hawaii, testimony at the Iran Contra Hearings, 1986

"This and no other is the root from which a tyrant springs; when he first appears he is a protector." – Plato

"The truth is, there is no Islamic army or terrorist group called Al Qaida.
And any informed intelligence officer knows this. But there is a propaganda
campaign to make the public believe in the presence of an identified entity
representing the 'devil' only in order to drive the TV watcher to accept a
unified international leadership for a war against terrorism
.
The country behind this propaganda is the US ..."
- Former British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook

"It is part of the general pattern of misguided
policy that our country is now geared to an arms economy which
was bred in an artificially induced psychosis of war hysteria and
nurtured upon an incessant propaganda of fear."
-General Douglas MacArthur, Speech, May 15, 1951

wow, many of these quotes are eye-opening, by the "fabricated" side of youtube i meant that these illuminate videos always seem to have no accountability, like the same side of youtube that deals with ufo and bigfoot sightings. If so, how should people fight against this currupt power, and why do you think people aren't??

12.
How does this video lack credibility. Of course, the source 'document' lacks any way of tracing it back to a reputable source, however, nearly everything explained in this document is already happening in our world (I can go into detail if you want). People aren't fighting this because they are either:

1.) Already too tied into the system and are dependent on it to survive.

2.) Have complete ignorance of the system and believe they live free lives.

3.) Are actually a factor in the system and knowingly contribute to it.

4.) They run the system and use it to create wealth and control the globe (banking cartel master criminals).

Of course, most of the population is a combination of 1 and 2, and lots of people within government would fall under categories 2 and 3.

If you want to fight against this corrupt power, first you must expose it. Then, you must actively avoid and live without the system, as it thrives upon consensual participation.

13. don't get me wrong, I agree with what you and the quotes say, people ARE much too dependent on this system that is ruled by the 1%, may I ask what you personally do to fight it?

As a minimum-wage earner who has not yet established alternative food sources, I am still dependent upon the system. My steps to gaining independence are this:

1.) Cash paychecks immediately. Save as much income as possible and transfer to physical currency such as silver. Do not take out loans or buy unnecessary items. Spend wisely, buy in bulk and budget everything. Maintain personal wealth by refusing to buy into the debt system.
2.) Begin eating healthy. Do not anything that lists an ingredient you do not know of. This includes "artificial flavors", as they are never actually identified. Begin buying crops from local farmers, eat organic. Do not eat meat. Do not eat processed foods. Cultivate a diet that is rich in fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, sunlight, and water. Purify your water. Conserve water and reuse sink water for other cleaning purposes and watering plants. Collect rainwater. Grow foods if you can, this will save you money and create independence.
3.) Avoid pharmaceuticals. Avoid vaccines. Familiarize yourself with common medical procedures that were once performed by individuals in their homes. Familiarize yourself with household remedies that have been used for hundreds/thousands of years. Gather and store necessary medical supplies.
4.) Avoid police. Do not talk to police unless it is absolutely necessary. Do not report other to police unless it is absolutely necessary. Communicate with your neighbors and build strong communities. This will prevent further issues more safely than calling in men with guns. Become knowledgeable of law in your area and study it. If you ever interact with the police, do not resist, demand a lawyer, and exercise your fifth amendment right will explaining loudly and clearly multiple times that you are doing so. Film the police. They hate being filmed for a reason.
5.) Find sources of alternative media and educate yourself. Some of the most important stories are hidden or dismissed by mainstream news sources because of conflicts of interest, or because they are explicitly prohibited from being published/broadcasted. Stop paying attention to celebrity news/scandals as these are distractions from reality. It is still okay to watch MSM in moderation to see how the status quo is being propagated, this may give you valuable insight into what direction a story is taking (how it is being portrayed by the media) and what their next lie will be.
6.) Shop/buy local and support small businesses. Research a companies interests, their employee's average wage, who they do business with, the scope of their operation, and any possible ties to corporations (often their are hidden connections). Talk to the owner if you can and discuss their ideas about their operation, where they are heading, and their general business philosophies. The more transparent a company is about this the better. It is often obvious if a company is hiding something or if they are proud of their work and enjoy conversing with customers.
7.) Maintain positiver interactions with people. Cut off your toxic and parasitic relationships. Adopt a policy of honesty. When others speak listen. If you feel abused or that others are being abused, bring this to the attention of the abuser and confront them and make them uncomfortable. Absolute understanding and honesty will scare away disingenuous people and expose liars and frauds. Sometimes people do not realize the error of their ways and will become remorseful and change themselves for the better, others will see that they cannot hide behind their facade and will leave to find others to exploit. Being strong, courageous, and honest is absolutely important.
8.) Study history from multiple sources and question everything. Re-think lessons you've learned in school with this new knowledge and ask yourself what principles or messages were being taught through their interpretations of history. Try to think objectively but also make bigger connections. Explore many possibilities.
9.) If possible, live "off the grid". By completely reducing your dependence upon the system (ultimate goal) you are essentially giving a huge F-U to the status quo while also shielding yourself from its effects. This is the ultimate step, something that I may unfortunately never reach.
10.) Hacking. I won't say much more, but hackers can turn the system against itself, exploit security weaknesses to access funds, gain files from government databases, set up encrypted networks, so on and so on. As the world reaches the technological singularity, hackers will become superusers of society.

It's really about creating a lifestyle that is without the system. Every conscious decision we make effects the balance. They say "don't bite the hand that feeds you" but if it isn't feeding you, and instead trying to poison you, then sever that hand.

This list is just ideas that sound good to me. You definitely don't have to follow any of these steps or take my word as the truth. I see these things as being 100% beneficial to me an my lifestyle, it won't necessarily work for you. Some of these steps I have already taken and some I am still working up to. One thing to keep in mind - the government hates independent people. Use at your own discretion.

15. I agree with all of these and I think that if we were all to live like this (if its even possible) then we would definitly be more independant thinkers and take power from those who abuse it. I think the hardest thing is to find a source of income that doesn't support big companies, and using your income wisely and un hypocritically.

16.
The patterns, however, will remain.I said this in another thread recently, human civilization exhibits these very obvious patterns throughout history that are almost predictable down to decades.
This is everything that I have ever wanted to say in one post. Damn this is so true..Sent from my LG-LS970 using Grasscity Forum mobile app

17. Earth isn't really overpopulated, though some urban areas may be.  Earth could hold 50 billion people easy.

The problem with famine and war is not the number of humans but the ideas of fear, greed and hatred, that divide us, fed to us by those in charge.  There will come a day we relinquish the utilization of the vessel of greed (money) for a more family like solution in humanity.  With the disbandment of money, all that is left to abandon is fear itself.

Once we do not engage in a monetary system that controls the minds of the governing entities and the population that feeds off it, all that is left to do is dismount fear of a superficial organization who's only power is created by the illusion of fear.

If we can do this, which we can in unity, then we can end the viscous cycle of negativity that entangles earth.

Money is a marker of transactions. Money itself is not inherently evil, it facilitates transactions.

What we need to to is change our monetary system and change how money factors into politics. We need to cap CEO wages relative to worker wages. We need to cap defense spending and create a truly free market for the consumer and strictly monitor and regulate government spending. We need to abolish the Federal Reserve and let the government print debt-free money.

Without money, or a marker of wealth, it is impossible to become a property holder or invest in something. We could make the argument that we don't need money, but this would require a complete re-wiring of our consciousness as a society. There are tribal collectives that do not use money and don't really have a concept of private property - this is because money is not functional to them and therefore they have not created it as a society. However, for developed nations to disregard a currency system would also be to disregard personal wealth and property, which is obviously not going to happen.

19.
Money facilitates greed.  Whether you spend your money for positive things is a moot point, others will bribe others to perform deeds they wouldn't do themselves for financial gain.  The greedy will attain more wealth at the cost of others and the cycle will repeat.

We can still own property if we just respect what others have worked to acquire.  Sure, you can try and go looting from everyone you see, but karma will take it's role and you'll probably end up dead if you steal from the wrong person.  Though we should be more open to sharing material possessions that we do not use ourselves.

You can still invest in something, but rather than investing money into a parasitic entity who's purpose is to grow and attain more wealth, you'll invest time and energy into an idea who's purpose is to create betterment for mankind.

If a developed nation can not learn from the countless mistakes money has endured to societies throughout history, we are only asking to repeat these mistakes and ultimately are digging our own grave.

Perhaps a complete rewiring of consciousness is exactly what we need, for a society based off greed and fear never fails to create war and depression.

Imagine transacting energy by sharing material goods that you produce, gaining peace and happiness with every person you help.

No money, no tyrants, no famine, no war.  Equality, peace.

The feeling of true inner peace is invaluable, nothing material can buy you that.

I totally agree with your message. I think our society, our culture enables greed and corruption more than anything. It is all we really know.

I am still curious as to how services would be compensated and trading would be made effective without money. Bartering does work to an extent, but is still inefficient. How would one go to a store and purchase an item? How would one send wealth to family members in another area?

I think money is still functional in society, but our society is certainly disfunctional.
