Does more hair make one open minded? Their freedom of appearance correlate to freedom of expression? I came to the realization that most of the people I can't tolerate often are close minded and tend to have short hair, and in contrast its come to me that my closest friends have more hair or creative hairstyles, whether they're dreads, or long ponytail or curly. Most of my friends don't smoke so it has nothing to do with marijuana when I speak of friends with dreads. Opinions on this please. And I'm not trying to categorize people for their individuality, I'm just beginning to believe that appearance surfaces mentality for a fact.
well i guess in your situation that holds true but for me i have friends who are open minded and are bald or have short hair. but i guess i dont really have any friends who have long hair that are close minded. in general i think people who are close minded and conservative in their views will have short hair cuz thats what society (american society) says looks proper and professional but people with long hair care less about whats proper and care more about whats important to them. Short hair in america is not a style thats without tons of followers, so if u have a ton of people ur gonna find a certain percentage of the group that maybe more conservative in their ideologies.but i dont think everyone with short hair is conservative, that would be generalizing a whole style of hair.
dude im pretty sure i understad. since most people think its faggy to have long hair or eative hair. but your kinda setting a sterotype
No but apparantly it can make people post nonesense in the wrong section. We have sections for nonesense here
Thank you very much for this analysis, after more thought I began to come to this conclusion as well and I'm glad you explained it because I am too stoned to do so lol
I don't mean to set a stereotype, I just am high and began to notice a trend, doesn't mean it's true.
One of the biggest d-bags I have ever met had long, unkempt hair. Arrogant prick who treated people like shit. Wasn't open minded in the least and just wasn't a very nice person. One of my very best friends has a buzzcut and he's one of the coolest people I know. People have been afraid to sell him weed because he looks like a cop, but he's a really down to earth, chill guy. You really can't judge a book by it's cover. I try not to generalize or listen to stereotypes.
There is actually much more to hair than its social applications. You werent just really stoned haha. In yoga, hair actually serves several meaningful purposes. Hair, seeing as it grows everywhere on the body, is actually meant to draw energy into each area, as well as protecting it. In this sense, hair helps maintain the body's electromagnetic field. In fact, just think about where hair is abundant on your body for a second: your head, eyebrows, armpits and pubic area. These areas are exactly where your major glands are! This includes the pineal gland, which is tucked right between your eyebrows There is much more than meets the eye, indeed
Of course not. Hair is nothing but hair, it doesn't make anyone anything. I'm a pretty open minded guy, I have a buzzcut, your theory is disproved. Gandhi was bald, what do you have to say about that? I hope you're just high and came up with a weird concept like that and don't sincerely believe it.
Look at the Dalai Lama too. I have a buzzcut nowadays, had long hair as a kid. I'm a pretty open minded guy too, though I have little patience for fools and assholes (not saying that about anyone here, just in general).
