Is fox farm ocean and happy frog capable of flowering?

  1. I have heard rumors from some people that they grew with ocean soil from fox farms and very few had issues with their autoflower not coming out of pre flowering stage. Has anyone here that grew autoflowers with ocean fox farm soil or happy frog soil what your experience has been? Are they both capable of brining your autoflower out of pre floweing into flowering?

  2. Ocean forest has enough nutes for the first 30 days or so and should be juiced after that or amended with chicken manure to be sure the plants have enough to eat.
Happy frog is much lower in initial feed and would need juiced after about 2 weeks.

  3. I've used FFOF with autos but I'm not sure exactly what you're asking... Do you mean you want to flower without using any nutrients except for whatever the soil can provide, straight out of the bag?
I think you would definitely want to feed your plants as they transition to flower, regardless of the type of soil you're using.

When you say you've heard people have trouble getting beyond pre-flower, my experience was that FFOF soil alone, without any added nutes, was only good for up to a month, starting from seed.

I ended up using Remo Nutrients around week 3 and noticed a huge improvent.

  4. I run Auto in
    Ocean forest
    Happy Frog
    Roots Organic with autos
And they drain the soils of all they got by the time flower hits heavy
So you'll probably want to use some sort of nutrients

  5. For the first three years I grew I wasn't even on here and use ocean forest and 120 degree heat germinated outside you name it. No PERLITE. Now I use Happy frog and perlite or even use a mixture of ocean forest and Happy frog and perlite. Oh and I also start feeding after week 1. After I switch to nectar I started doing some slurries on the end of my Fox grows and found my plants were hungry

  6. Oh and forget this it's a auto shit! Plants are plants. No special soil needed.

  7. Autos not flowering isnt due to soil, that is a genetic problem. Plants that lack nutrients will still flower, they just wont yield well. Unless you are running some type of supersoil then you will need to feed after three to four weeks.
