Is direct light good for the buds?

Discussion in 'Lighting' started by Ofienci, Aug 2, 2020.

  1. My plant has been flowering for about a months and a half now, I've tied all the branches back to allow maximum light to hit the buds, but I forgot one branch at the back that has been in the shade the whole time. However it has the biggest buds on it out of the whole plant, is it better to have the flowering parts away from direct light? is this a coincidence or have I been growing it wrong?
    Thanks in advanced

  2. Sounds like a coincidence. Happy season

  3. Plants use leaves and roots to take in energy, which it then distributes throughout the whole plant.
Cannabis has a plan for where it wants its colas to be, and it can execute that plan even without direct light on those colas.
This might not be true if the plan is disrupted by pruning.

  4. Thank you, I was never sure if the flowers needed light them selves or just the leaves. Thank you for the clarification
