Is coughing up phlegm normal?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by OuTLaW1986, Feb 6, 2011.

  1. I kind of have a hard time breathing, and have been coughing up phlegm that has little brown spots... I read around GC and found mixed answers some say coughing up phlegm is not normal and some say that coughing up phlegm is actually the resin your lungs are cleaning out.. do I need to see a doctor??

  2. You searched around and read mixed answers...so you decided to pose the question again?

  3. Coughing up phlegm is normal,if you consider breathing in smoke as a normal thing to do XD ,but yeah,it's normal,it's your lungs way of cleaning it self. And it will always be there if you continue to smoke.

F.Y.I,exercise helps loosen the phlegm and makes it easier to come out.

  4. depends how bad it is, i cough up a bit of stuff in the morning, but it's on the level of clearing my throat if your coughing up smurfs and stuff either cut back or take a T-break or maybe you have a minor respiratory problem and need to give smoking a rest for a bit

  5. i cough up phlegm here and there, usually in the morning. It doesnt bug me really it feels good after i get it out.
Just remmeber that youre inhaling smoke into your lungs. There has to be some kind of effect

  6. OP: What do you smoke out of? Curious.

  7. Iono I had asthma before I started smokin now I'm gravy, I cough it up every day whether I puff or not. Drink fluids and exercise. Also try to avoid Blunts .... Bronchitis waitin to happen.

  8. A steam roller... lol. But I don't even smoke that much, like .3 a day not more than .5 and I've been smoking everyday since a few weeks before christmas. But I've been smoking for 8 years now also

  9. ^this

  10. I guess I was just worried that I had bronchitis... because that shits scary, it could turn into something like chronic bronchitis and bam your smoking days are over. I even heard that if you don't get it checked up soon enough before it gets worse, you could get heart disease and die. It's like weed can actually kill you, just not directly. Makes you wonder how many people have died from weed just not directly...

  11. Vaporize? Not sure though...

  12. I don't know about vaporizing, I always heard that the high isn't the same as smoking and that's not in a good way.

  13. Depends. Some vapes you can control the temperature which will release different combinations of highs. But in my experience I love the vape high, it's typically much more energetic and heady than when you combust. You're vaporizing more of the THC and less of the CBD and other cannabinoids that are responsible for the body high and work to sort of keep THC in check.

  14. @ OutLaw, try the vaporizer and see how you feel then. Ever since I got my vaporizer I have not smoke barely any at all. Why would you not like to... Actually taste the green of the weed, GET HIGHER, and eliminate the combustion process which can cause problems with the lungs. I do not know where you get your information from, but next time try a vape before you hate. :p

  15. There has not been one death from the sole use of cannabis. Period.

  16. Stop smoking blunts 8)

  17. funny thing is,regular exercise can prevent both those things,so if you a lazy fat ass that sits around and smokes weed all day, don't expect to have the best health in the world:laughing:
