hey all, i have an early misty girl (mostly indica) that had shown signs of bud rot on some nugs and powdery mildew on a few leaves.....i didnt see her for a few days and went out to check on her today...the bud rot has spread to most of the plant, but for the most part is limited to the sugar leaves (little leaves right off the buds). so, i sprayed it down with some sulphur/pyrethone (sp?) spray, before picking off a few pristine nugs to sample.... my question is, with daily/every other day spraying of the spray, and about 2 weeks till harvest, can the bud rot be reversed? in other words, could the spray kill off the mold and such while the buds keep growing? can i salvage this girl? or should i just cut it now and make some hash or weed brownies? let me know yall, thanks... ps. this is outdoor, in a 5 gallon bucket. later yall
Once mildew has taken hold, its there for good. Often times it isn't worth the effort to clean it off buds. And there will still be spores leftover in the bud and that isn't good for you to smoke. Mold and mildew are both caused by damp conditions, and although we can't control mother nature, next time I would try to put them in an area with more light and less shade. Its about all you can do....
try to get more airflow. Is there brush/weeds blocking air and keeping everything damp around your plant?
hmm...damn. guess ill move it. but what should i do with the bud? brownies? or this "QWISO" hash i keep reading about?? or anything else?
