Is 90° To Hot?

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by waxmonkey, May 13, 2014.

  1. Yes, that is hot enough to kill plants for sure, especially seedlings. I wouldn't want it any hotter than 85F max. 70-80F is best. :smoking:

  2. Yeah 90 at 200w is too hot. Should be okay aslong as you get exhaust asap and run oscillating fan.

  4. How long until you can get exhaust. A couple days isnt going to be a problem but multiple weeks and you should set the CFL up.

  5. I would leave the closet open and blow a fan right into it from the bedroom floor (or whatever room it's in).

  6. It's getting hotter here so I have a 5 in line I need to install. Jw if I would want insulated or non insulated ducting anybody?

  8. non insulated should be fine... depends on the purpose, I guess

  9. I wouldn't be as worried about your plants as I would your house burning down.

  10. question dude, i read somewhere that bud grew best at 92 as in the optimal temperature, i live in the desert my grow area hits 90s all the time.but my humidity is of course 20s or lower sometimes lol

  11.
For some reason it grows great outdoors in hot temps... but indoors, not quite as hot. Some strains are also more tolerant to the high temps.

  12. im indoors, 400 watts of cfls 2 fans and its always high 80s to mid 90s  RH is always way way low

  13. They will be absolutely fine if that's the temperature at the top of the canopy. My ideal temperature is 30℃ which is 86℉. If my canopy was cooler than this I would take the opportunity to lower the lights so they are closer

Take a pic of your setup bro. I think 90 is way too hot for them indoors. Outdoors is a-whole-nother ball game.

    Optimal Temp: 70F-80F (85F Max)
    Humidity: 40%-80% (Aim for 60%)

When indoors you wanna give them the best environment possible, that's what's going to decide your outcome.

  15. I agree that I stick to the rule that 30℃ is the maximum temperature, but 32℃ isn't exactly something to panic about, and it certainly wouldn't kill the plants. Having the temperature below 30℃ means your lights are probably too far away anyway. If you can have them closer and still be under 30℃ then why wouldn't you

i thought leaving the closet door lets go of light and is bad for my plants? i wanna really use the light but i dont wanna use it if its gunna serve justice but if you guys think i can leave the door open and light it ill most certainly try it out, but with the closet door closed temps hit like 101*F if you guys check my grow journel in my signature to see my whole setup itd give you a little better idea to help you help me. i appreciate the help and im definitly gunna do what i can to get that light in!! :smoke:  :devious:

  17. Letting a bit of light out of the closet will not matter at all compared to the extreme heat you are giving your plants when the door is closed. I would definitely leave it open until you get the exhaust/temps issue resolved.

  18. Have you been running with the doors open lately?
