  4. hi, I was thinking about getting one of these lights 6 months ago but like you said the led scene is kinda shady. I was thinking of getting the 120 just for cost reasons, but would like the 180. How much of a difference do you believe there is between them? Im thinking of using it for a 3.5X3 ft scrog and also using 8 68watt cfls from the depot for supplementary lighting. what do ya think? thanks ps, i do have a real room, this is just for fun :smoke:

  5. i would get the 180w over the 120w, ive have seen both do good, but the 180w is a little bigger unit and not that much more money. do a google search on these lights and you will find a tons of grows on the web, theirs even one of the 300w unit doing better then a 400w hps in a side x side. very pro grow. growers name is setting sun IMO you dont need any CFL's with these lights unless you go out of the foot print. but if ur got covarge leave the CFL's out of it.

i made a deal with the owner for a discount to those who follow my threads and show their support towards my grows. as a thank you for you guys making my threads what they are. he said thats fine. so hit me up if you do deiced to get one of these lights and i will get you hooked up.

  6. Heres some of my Jack Herer clone that have been under my GLH 300w unit for about 1.5 weeks now in veg. the one in the back left corner was basically almost dead from the transplant but i was about to get her back alive. this is a all organic grow using Xtreme Gardening products. nice and healthy girls. i will LST then maybe tonight?

The owner of http://www.growledhydro.com/ just sent me a message saying that he has a deal for my thread followers. he said right now he has 5 300w led lights that he is sealing for $700 each. with free shipping. 1st come 1st serve. just tell him you heard of it from Irish boy's threads or get a hold of me.

  9. Thought i would post some pics of my Casey Jones girls in the two 180w tent. These are some of the nicer LST plants ive done, everything i wanted happen with these girls nice and spread out branches. next time you see her she will be in 12/12

  10. Looking good, irish. You may not know it but i've been following you for a while. you're the reason i went with a GLH panel myself. I bought a 126W panel about 8 months ago and I'm running 2 plants underneath it, looking for 3oz or so...come on by my grow ("Current Grow" in my signature)

Earlier you recommended a 180W over a 120W. do you think that there is a difference, at all, in how well the buds form? or have you found that the different sized panels produce similarly just with larger light footprints? as far as I've been able to tell my panel does seem to make for fluffier, airy buds, though it could just be my random bagseed genetics

  11. hey buddy, glade to here u been following my threads thanks!
yes i think their is a way the buds form between the 180w or 120w not only because the foot print. one light has more intensity then the other. just like how the 300w should grow better buds then the 180w even though their the same size unit. more intense light equal bigger more soil buds. just like a 400w HPS to a 1000W HPS.

now fluffy has to do with allot of things, lights, nuts, strains, conditions every thing. ive had fluffy buds under a 1000w hps before. temps will change this allot also, nutes pay a big role to. every thing effects that. ive seen that 120w pull some nice weight from 1 plant.

  12. Count me in. As you may or may not know, I've grown only with HGL units, but am wanting to switch LED provider. Anyone have experience with Haight Solid State units?

I've been pleased with my grows using LED's and see no reason to stop; it's all a case of adapting your techniques to maximize for the new environmental conditions LEDs grows become.

Look forward to this grow, Irish Boy! Peace.

    :bongin:

  13. subbed, looking forward to your progress.

yes do not buy that unit!! you are way better off with ur HGL light!! their is a side x side with both of those lights, and HGL won. IMO none of them compare to the GLH lights i am using though, but HSS lights suck real bad. save ur money.
i think i remember you the SCROG grower with the little unit on a different place also?
welcome friend. pull up a chair

  15. Yeah, I left the other place though, too much hatin' going on there, ya know? All I need is good solid coverage for my 35.5" x 54" tent ... I hope that the 2 x 126w put long end to long end will work, but I'd still like more wattage, I think.

If you look at my current grow, you can see how I have them, but I've been wary of having anything outside that tight footprint - lol, I see your stuff and then wonder if I could spread those lights apart farther and still be okay?

  16. WoW!

Ive been looking for a LED-thread with some power in it, looks like ive found it :)!

This one will be very cool to follow, and those Jack Herer:s of yours makes it all even better...

    :smoke:

  17. the problem is you have 60 degree leds, not too much covarge, i did care for that light gave it to a friend and he tried a grow with it and tossed it and used his HPS instead. yup that other place became too much for me and others did see the truth when i tried to tell them, but now i can see they found out.lol.. really sad my friend. but i would spread them out too far because of the 60 degree angles. 90 degree is where its at, screw 120 degree also thats more of a SOG thing

welcome brother, pull up a chair and light on up.

i can wait to see how these organic led buds smoke and look? Casey Jones also has me waiting because ive seen pics of her and she looks great. But Jack is the 9x cup winer and its just one of a kind. i tied her down last night, she seems to take to it good.

  18. i'll be watching your other grows is what made me decide to go with leds when i had heat problems with my hps over the summer.

  19. welcome my friend, hope you got a good quality led light and are happy with it? I here you about the summer heat leds save my ass thats for sure since i did have A/C.

thanks for joining. pull up a chair my friend ans enjoy.
