  1. I'm workign with a new pc and do you guys know if its possible to take all the songs already on my ipod and transport them to the new pc that doesn't have the songs so I don't loes them when I add new songs to the ipod?

  2. yeah you can do that. i don't know how because i dont have an ipod but i know you can.

  3. make sure you can see all your hidden files, find it in view options, plug your ipod in find it in my computer, then go into ipod_control and in the music folder there should be some wierd looking MP3 files, copy the entire music folder to where you want it on you computer, and add that shit to itunes, it will have all the right names.

  4. If you own a external hardrive you can take all you songs off your old comp and put them on your new one with the external hardrive.

  5. I could tell you how to do it on a mac... I think the best thing you can do is look for a program that lets you transfer from iPod to PC. There a are a bunch out there you can get for free. I use one called Senuti, but then again I have a mac.
    Hope this helped.

  6. 2 Solutions:

    1. Buy an external hard drive (real fuckin expensive)
    2. Configure the settings on your new iTunes so that you can add new songs on to your iPod without erasing the perviously stored songs.

  7. this is a very good method. i found out about it on my own a long time ago when i didnt have the internet and i thought i was a genius. then i get on the net and everyone knows about it haha.
    oh, and its free :hello:

  8. pretty much.

Don't pay for that ipod liberator software, suburbans method is fast and doesn't involve a lot of technical know-how. Which ipod do you have out of curiousity?

I only ask because I know a few people have had trouble using this method on the new touch/iphone. But there is a way to do the same thing on these devices using a secure shell to log in to the ipod and scp to transfer files

  9. When I had to do that, I got too lazy, and just bought an external hard drive with 250 GB for like $100 or so.

Now I keep all my movies, porn, and back up music on that bad boy. Hope it doesn't break or get stolen some how! (knock on wood)
