Hello! So i have this iphone 5s, recently the charger wasnt working so well, always needing to wiggle it. Anyway i took a tac and cleaned the port, removing lots of lint! Now while using my phone while it’s plugged in, i constantly get the message “this accessory may not be supported” and poom! Charging ceased. It seems to continue charging while the phone is not in use. So i am possibly thinking a damaged port, which would enviably result in needing to buy a whole new phone. Has anyone else ever experienced this?
Not new phone iphones have a separateboard there cheap to buy and its a simple ribbon cable or was on iphone 4 and before i stopped using them at iphone 4 lol Sent from my SM-G950F using Grasscity Forum mobile app

I forget, does the 5s have lightning connector or the old iPhone charger? You might wanna get a compressed air can and spray it in the port in your phone. Don’t hold it too close, don’t want to damage anything else. A lot of shit can get stuck up there over time and can cause it not to connect to the charger well. I hope you get it working. But if not, sounds like you need an upgrade. The 5s is old news. I think it’s time for something new eh?
Not sure about lightning connector/old charger. Since cleaning and keeping it up to date, it hasnt been happening as much, and its weird because this charger has always worked for me, but a different charger does work. Perhaps it’s the cord. Unfortunately phones cost so much. And this is working for now! Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
