Stumbled across this video and thought it was an eye opener (for me anyways). http://youtube.com/watch?v=x_tNzeouHC4 This states that we do not know much about anything. Not sure if this is in the right forum.
it waz a ok video evil tho it makes me look like a retart since he lost me at the 2nd line thing and the waves
Yeah its quite hard to understand at first, I have no education in physics or science of any nature, but I understand enough to realize this video. Electrons are tiny particles of matter, meaning they act like tiny marbles. For some reason, these tiny marbles act like an energy wave instead of like tiny marbles when they go through the 2 slits. But when you watch the tiny marbles at work, they act differently, as if they dont like to be watched.
I got it pretty easily, right until the end. Now I'm totally lost, how does observing make it act as a solid, but not observing make it act as a liquid? Crazy stuff man, excellent video
Thats the point, we don't know why observing changes the way the electron behaves, all we know is that it does.
Yeah, it never really got technical. It just raises the question that, though a single electron accelerated through a double slat makes a wave pattern, or several lines decreasing in concentration from the center, seemingly impossible, yet the same experiment repeated under conditions upon which it was observed, made it act like larger matter, only forming the shape of the 2 slits. It suggests that the results differed due to observation. Interesting vid.
Wonderful. This is just the topic of the current book I'm reading. The quantum observer and the Universe. the primordial chicken and the egg. Alll matter collapsed out of probability by observation. That really brings to like the philosophies of Sarte; existence predetermining essence.
that was a really cool video... it made sense to just fine but it shows me that there is so much to still be learned in the way of science
