    INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF DRUG POLICY ANNUAL AWARD FOR THE BEST PAPER BY A YOUNG AUTHOR

    The International Journal of Drug Policy, Elsevier and the International Harm Reduction Association are pleased to announce the establishment of the IJDP prize for the best young author of the year.

    * The competition is open to authors under the age of 35 at the time of submission.

    * The prize will be presented at the International Conference on the Reduction of Drug Related Harm. The first prize will be given at the 15th ICRDRH in Melbourne, Australia 21-25 April 2004.

    * The prize winner will receive a free economy fare air ticket to the conference, free conference registration and a year's free access to Elsevier's ScienceDirect.(TM)

    * The prize is awarded to the best original paper first-authored by a young writer (additional authors are acceptable). It has to be an original paper, review paper or commentary, and submitted in the IJDP house style.

    * The paper will be published in IJDP and the prize winner will present their paper at the conference in an IJDP sponsored session.

    For this first year of the competition, the paper must have been published in IJDP during 2003, or submitted by December 31st 2003. When submitting your paper to IJDP (h.mann@imperial.ac.uk or ijdp@imperial.ac.uk) please state that you wish to be considered for the award. You can also write in to:
