okay this is the thing i made a diy tent to fit a space in my closet 3x3x6 it is only accessible from the front door gonna be running a 6" inline on speed controller running a 400 watt hps prob is i will have to run the outtake through the top of the door and make intake holes on the bottom of the door will this work having intake and outtake on the same wall also what size hole do i need for intake i was told 18" hole but that seems huge i thought maybe one or two 6" holes also will be running a caron filter once i hit flower pic shows where i wanna run intake and outtake
Sounds good. I would start with one 6 inch intake hole at first, You can always cut another if needed.
You will be fine on the same wall. The exhaust will be warmer and rise away from the intake. And I agree to start with one 6" intake if you are filtering through a scrubber. It will help to create just a slight negative pressure inside your tent that will guarantee that no smells escape other than your exhaust. If you are not going to run a scrubber then I would say go for 2 seperate 4" passive intakes on each bottom corner.
could i do the intakes on the floor the tent is on a shelf thing about 2 feet off the ground but it has some overhang prob enough to do about 3 or 4 4" holes
From personal trial and error experience, you aren't going to get the airflow you want unless your intake is at least 2x the size of the exhaust. I've found it to be a good rule of thumb.
I apologize, I misread and thought you said you were running a 4" exhaust. 2 6" or 3 4" will be plenty.
