insomnia

  1. okay heres the deal.my doctor is bein an asshole.my sleep has seriously been fucked up for like months.ive tried all kinds of methods to improving it,but none have worked.no matter what,i never fall asleep until like 5 in the morning,sometimes later.ive tried pulling all nighters,but even when i do,i still cant fall asleep till sunrise.its really anoying and its getting in the way of my damn social life.my doctor told me to try different techniques and none of them worked.i asked him for some meds,and he said not until you start falling asleep early and waking up at 8 in the morning.i was like "wtf,that hardly makes senese.you want me to cure my sleep before you put me on some medicine".i dont understand him.even tried drinking myself to sleep,that didnt work either.ive tried trazadone,but that shit doesnt even faze me at all.

    anyone have any suggestions? help would be aprreciated
     
  2. Im an insomniac also, ur lucky tho atleast ur able to sleep, it just takes u a while. thinks that help me sleep (help, not cure, i still dont sleep right but its better with these): Chugging Nyquil, Alcohol, Marijuana, Oxycontin. thats about it
     
  3. I have extremely bad insomnia, and my doctor hasn't done anything. I'll probably get some sleeping pills... But something's holding me back and I don't know what.
     
  4. i used to be in the exact same situation..so did my mom..she gets these tablets called amitryptoline , 50mg's , whenever i couldnt sleep she would give me one , its a muscle relaxent but it makes you REAL tired..i always fall asleep earlier than expected when i take em..maybe you can talk to ur doctorr about it?

  6. Same here man, i dont fall asleep till like 8 AM and i wake up at about 7 PM. I dont mind very much because thats when all the partys are haha. But when school hits ill be fucked big time. Ive tryed staying up for the day, didnt work. then i tryed staying up for 2 days strait, didnt work, i passed out for 24 hours and woke up the next day at 8 PM and it sucked hehe but right now im going on my 4th day of no sleep, my goal is to stay away for 7 days and hope i sleep for 36 hours so it will fix itself.
     
  7. i dunno u sure u stayed up 4 days so far lol. its sumthing like after staying up with no sleep for 5 days your are declared legally insane in the eyes of the law and will be tried differently if you commit a crime because after 5 days of absolutly no sleep you no longer have full control or almost any over your actions

  9. A safe, habit-free alternative, and one I have always found worked well in a bit of meditation-cum-self hypnosis.

    You can buy tapes etc from most occult/New Age suppliers, and aside from insomnia, you can train yourself to overcome all sorts.

    The key to this, though, like anything, is finding out why you are not sleeping in the first place. Once you know that, you are halfway there.
     
  10. I have a bit as of late. I went to the local chemist and got some over the counter stuff called 'restavit'. yes, restavit, not restabit, lol. The active ingredient [name of the medication you want to ask for] will be 'Doxylamine Succinate'. 25mg per tablet. You may want to print that name off, lol. I think the pronounciation is something like 'dock-seela-mine sucky-nate'. Good luck guys.
     
  11. Hmmm...

    I was so fucking awake one night, i just couldnt sleep..had far too much energy drinks and just wasnt tired... So i looked in the pantry and found some little tablets, for when you get a cold or flu, it had 'daytime' and 'nighttime' tablets, so i figured the nighttime ones had drowsiness stuff in it, so i plugged one.

    About 10 mins later i was SO fucking stormed, i just crashed...

    dunno if this'll work mate, but shit...got me out like a light switch. Worth a try.

  12. I don't think it is possible to actually stay up for more than a few days. Because the latest I have ever went without sleep was 2 days and by that point I was hallucinating quite a bit. I would see things in the corner of my eyes or wierd patterns and i was paranoid as hellll.
     
  13. i heard if you stay up to long you'll finaly start trippin out and seeing things so idk if thats a great idea. but im not a doctor so im just sayin things ive heard.

    I was an insomniac until about 3 years ago when i started using this stuff, after a while the habits formed very well and I don't need the supplement anymore. Breaking the bad habits is the worst part, but some of that comes from the anxiety caused by not sleeping. If you tell yourself 'I HAVE to get to sleep now' then you're gonna be worried, distracted, and heading in the wrong direction. You can't make yourself sleep, it's a natural state that happens on it's own when the right conditions are met. Doing (serious) relaxation work is huge help in getting over the hump, as others have mentioned.
     
  18. I dont doubt you on that. Im sure somebody was crazy enough to try it. Haha I couldnt imagine doing it though, im geussing by the eleventh day it would be the equivilent to peaking on some really strong acid haha.

    EDIT: But then again, meth heads do it all the time haha.
