Hi all. This is my first grow and I feel like doing a journal so I can look back at it all. I'm using bag seeds. Using "Just Nature" potting soil. Small amount of nutrients. These will be grown inside until I think they are strong enough to go outside. I don't really know what else to post but here it is: Day 1: Seeds just planted Day 2: 3 seedlings sprout, lights and fan added **I don't know much about how they are supposed to look so advice/opinions on them are helpful** Day 3: Most seedlings sprouted, starting 18/6 photoperiod
What type of lights? I assume CFL by the fixtures. If so you want them 3" from your plants. That will work for a bit but you will need a bigger light soon. Good luck, I'm sure you will do ok. Check out growweedeasy as they have lots of tips for a starter. Secret room
4 23w actual CFLs plus 2 20w actual LEDs and yeah I'm gonna work on repositioning them but hopefully they'll be strong enough to move outside by the time I should have to get a new light. And thanks man!
Is this going to make a huge impact? Here is the only nutes I've been using and it calls for 7ml per quart but I only use about 7ml per sprayer.
Day 4: Will not be home to see progress; working. Plants will be watered and schedule will be kept by a friend.
Day 5: Bought digital timer for lights; 18/6 cycle. Began using purified drinking water, that includes minerals, and added about 16 mL of above-post nutrients. Moved around lights for better coverage One more seedling sprouted. Dug up other seed and found it now has a taproot; reburied. All seem to be doing well, except for this one. *Anyone know what the brown tip might be?*
Day 6: Added worms to some cups. Added grass clippings to some cups. Added wood chippings to one cup. Also added this guy All are looking well still, except for that brown-tipped one; don't know what the problem is. One seedling not yet sprouted but has taproot. Spoiler: Few Pics of Seedlings
I heard it helps with Nitrogen as it decomposes and holds moisture in the soil. Even if it doesn't, i guess no harm no foul.
Day 7: Threw away seed with taproot; wasn't growing so, I said fuck it. Put all 9 other seedlings outside for sunlight today. Started LST on 1 seedling. Will post pictures soon.
They were doing quite well until I actually brought them outside so I don't think that's the issue but if you think it is what about the soil is bad? There is perlite in the soil and mulch on top of it is all.
