Insert Spiffy Lyrics Here.!

Discussion in 'The Artist's Corner' started by Screamslaughter, Jan 3, 2012.

1. This is just a thread to insert your favorite lyrics and/or explain how they make you feel or what you think they mean.
Any genre., any song., any artist.[:
And please guys., no music bashing.
If you're a true music lover., you accept any music<3 :smoke:

2. I'll start with my signature song.
Desolate (The Conductor) track #10 on Number by Woe, Is Me.

"Out., in the Everglades..
Sleeping in with the poor is a fortune for the brave..
And I could easily say., that we will never change.
But be implacable & never lose your flames..

Wouldn't you say that the world has spit on you enough..?
Unanswered prayers.,
Sleeping under streetlights...
And I don't understand the danger of talking them up...
Talking them up...

Every night.,
You salvage every skyline.
Only enough so that you might have the chance to feel fine..

I swear to God.,
I believe we have had enough.,
Trying to save the world,..
Did you hear me..?
We have had enough.

This is just how it goes to show..
So., stand back., listen.
Cuz it's not over yet.
You think you know us..?
Well..,
You don't know shit."

What this means., I'll never be able to completely explain but I think It's a song to rise against any evil in your life. The quote "every night you salvage every skyline" really makes me think of getting high. That's actually why it's my favorite quote from the cd.
If anyone on this sight has ever listened to Number., they understand why this song is powerful<3

3. If I could see all there was to see
I'd see that we are made of pieces
And the space between us
Isn't space at all

4. And if you think I can't fuck with whoever, put your money up
Put your jewels up, no fuck it put your honey up
Put your raggedy house up *****, or shut your mouth up
Before I buck lead, and make a lot of blood shed
Turn your tux red, I'm far from broke, got enough bread
And mad hoes, ask beavis I get nuttin butt-head

5. i be placin' snitches inside lakes and ditches

7. "Out for my own, out to be free, one with my mind they just can't see, no need to hear things that they say, life's for my own to live my own way"-From 'Escape' by Metallica.
I love them so much

8. Motionless In White- City Lights.

Paralyzed by the envy of the night.
I am lost without you here and outside it looks like rain.
For the last time.
I bleed myself dry tonight.

And nothing I could ever write.
Would help you understand this life.

There's so much beauty when your eyes.,
Lay lost in all the city lights.

The wax will drip and flow as blood.
Romance is dead and all is lost.
You are the water in my lungs.
We've lost it...
We are all alone<3

9.
If I could see all there was to see
I'd see that we are made of pieces
And the space between us
Isn't space at all
I love this.!

Down in a hole and I don't know if I can be saved
I sing my heart out decorated like a grave
You don't understand who they thought I was supposed to be
Look at me now a man who won't let himself be

Down in a hole, feelin' so small
Down in a hole, losin' my soul
I'd like to fly,
But my wings have been so denied

^^
You wont understand it till you go through it

So when we cross paths and I hope that's soon
I'ma boot your motherfuckin ass to the moon
You need to quit bangin under false pretense
Cause if don't make dollars, it don't make sense

Tell me why you act so scary
Givin your set a bad name wit your misspelled name
E-I-H-T, now should I continue
Yeah you left out the G cause the G ain't in you

16. This song provides some cool ass insight into the struggle, and possible realization that dude has had about black culture in America, and America in general.

It's a fucking good ass song.

Deltron 3030 -- Memory Loss

You try to get over your gonna go under
You try to get over your gonna go under

Literally it's 3030
I don't got time to be wasting time on you slow pokes

I want y'all to, get open, like the ocean
Brothers be buggin like "He's from Oakland?"
What? I'll whoop you insinuatin we ain't capable
Stupid ass *****s is gonna rape a hoe
A few out a thousand
My town is foundin fathers of the black panthers we provide answers
You don't wanna believe then y'all are some blind bastards
They got you set up real good you're generalizing
Industry rising while energies reclining
*****s think I'm whinin but I really don't give a shit
Cause everybody's dyin but y'all think that's the end of it
Thats why it's so easy to be a Benedict
Or imitate cause they wouldn't teach ya algebra when you was eight
Now you fourty-eight and you hate children
Forgot where you came from now your straight illin
Don't fight the feelin
You better deal with it

It don't matter what you do or say
Try to get away but I'm gonna catch ya
Wanna compare your self to them
Well guess what homeboy you don't match up
I'm my own individual so I know it isn't true just cuz you say it is
Cuz anything thats truth got proof it ain't you
That's simply just the way it is

[Del: sing]

[Sean Lennon]
Lookin up the sky is red
City's burning up over head (flame on baby)
We can make the best of it
[Del:] (rock that)
In this post apocolypse (right on)

I'm on some real shit
So real brothers feel this
Cause we know reality is crazy
Thats why nothin amaze me
Look in the past
You might have to go farther then the book in your class
My *****s cookin some crack and moms gets the first hit
Thats ok with you? thats ok with me
I'm not here to judge the way you be
I got my own ccomplications the governmen't shoeless rations
Plantations is manlabor for 5 bucks for hourly intervels
I get a G for that
So believe what I spit to you is given back
Don't think that I'm livin that dream
When the I.R.S reposes most of your cream
It's like I dream when I die I wake up
I see all the people I disrespected and try to make up
It's praise to the creator, relate to nature

18. Arcade Fire - Neighborhood 1

And if the snow buries my
My neighborhood
And if my parents are crying
Then I'll dig a tunnel
From my window to yours
Yeah, a tunnel from my window to yours

You climb out the chimney
And meet me in the middle
The middle of the town
And since there's no one else around
We let our hair grow long
And forget all we used to know
Then our skin gets thicker
From living out in the snow

You change all the lead
Sleeping in my head
As the day grows dim
I hear you sing a golden hymn

Then we tried to name our babies
But we forgot all the names that
The names we used to know
But sometimes, we remember our bedrooms
And our parent's bedrooms
And the bedrooms of our friends
Then we think of our parents
Well, what ever happened to them

You change all the lead
Sleeping in my head to gold
As the day grows dim
I hear you sing a golden hymn
The song I've been trying to sing

Purify the colors, purify my mind
Purify the colors, purify my mind
And spread the ashes of the colors
Over this heart of mine!

One of the most romantic songs I've ever heard. To me it's about an almost childlike, innocent love between two people. The part about the parents crying really got me too. I don't see my parents cry much, but with everyone in my household facing some sort of illness, and the fact that I am a complete failure by society's standards, I get the feeling they cry more than I know. But this song pretty much sums up how I felt about my ex fiance. We became so entranced with each other that we became disconnected with everything else. We didn't lose friends or anything like that but we sort lost our identities in the relationship. The line "You change all the lead sleeping my head to gold" couldn't have been more spot on.

19. colt 45 and two zig zags, baby thats all we need .

20. sage poetry right here:

They say that life's a carousel
Spinning fast, you've got to ride it well
The world is full of Kings and Queens
Who blind your eyes then steal your dreams
...it's Heaven and Hell, oh well

And they'll tell you black is really white
The moon is just the sun at night
And when you walk in golden halls
You get to keep the gold that falls
It's Heaven and Hell
