Hey guys I'm a noob here at GC, and I have set up an indoor grow room. I have a 600 hps light with a four inch can fan. The room is approx 5'x4'x6' I have 8 seedlings goin, 4 white rhino fems, 1 blue dream, and 3 schwag seeds I had Layin around. Everything is goin well, temps are good, humidity is fine, and circulation is good. My question lies in when the flowering setup comes and the cloning and all that. I'm thinking that one of my plants may (I hope) turn out to be a good mother and I can clone from her. So I was thinking because of the way I have to enter the room (it's almost like a secret room in my basement) I was thinking of hanging maybe a shower curtain rod and getting some poly together making it white on both sides and punching holes in it and hanging it from the rod so I can get into both sides. Can I do the side for the clones and veg with cfls on one side and do flowering on the other with the hps? I'm thinking this is really my only option other than to build a grow box from an old two foot high cabinet I was gonna toss. And I'm going to look at some others this morning an old neighbor is tossing but I think his may be metal so I'm thinking not such a good idea? Thanks in advance! May your pipe always be full!
Yes you can divide your grow area into a veg/flower just make absolutely sure that there is no light leakage from the veg side to the flower side, if your girls get any light what so ever while they are in flower it will screw your girls all the way off.... when your this hated, its hard to be loved.......
What if there is light leakage at the ceiling? Or would I actually have to construct some beams in and staple: nail it up? Because I'm trying to figure out the easiest way that I can get into it and have room to get to the middle where I can get in at them. Hmmm just had a stoner epiphany... Put a beam in and nail the poly up and when I go in I can just roll it up and bungie it, do my thing and roll it back down. That's an easy solution.
