Innovative study shows medical cannabis effective in treating a wide range of health conditions

  1. Grilling is carcinogenic because smoke and burnt food items are carcinogenic.

I'm sure the hefty portions did nothing for his health either.

I'm sorry for your loss friend.

  2. This is why the pharmaceuticals do not want cannabis (or medicinal cannabis) to be legal. They know that there are so many medical problems that can be easily treated with cannabis - and at a much lower price than the medicines people would otherwise use which they are selling. They care far more about making money than peoples health.

Be sure to take your Omega 3 and cut back on Omega 6 oils! Omega 3 is anti-inflammatory and helps to heal the endocannabinoid system. Omega 6 is PRO-inflammatory and we get way too much of it.

“The importance of the ratio of omega-6/omega-3 essential fatty acids” The importance of the ratio of omega-6/omega-3 essential fatty acids. - PubMed - NCBI

“Excessive amounts of omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) and a very high omega-6/omega-3 ratio, as is found in today's Western diets, promote the pathogenesis of many diseases, including cardiovascular disease, cancer, and inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, whereas increased levels of omega-3 PUFA (a low omega-6/omega-3 ratio) exert suppressive effects.”

When you lack Omega 3, your CB1 receptors (that respond to THC) don't get hooked up properly. They are left "uncoupled", and you end up with something like a radio with a loose wire. No "music" happens, and when the "music" is a message for a cancer cell to die, losing that message becomes very important! (FYI - "uncoupled" receptors can't get you high, either!)

The earliest study on the Omega 3/ CB1 connection is a mouse study-

“Nutritional omega-3 deficiency abolishes endocannabinoid-mediated neuronal functions” Nutritional omega-3 deficiency abolishes endocannabinoid-mediated neuronal functions. - PubMed - NCBI

Here’s the key sentence- “In n-3-deficient mice, presynaptic cannabinoid CB(1) receptors (CB(1)Rs) normally responding to endocannabinoids were uncoupled from their effector G(i/o) proteins.”

And for colon cancer, upping your intake of olive oil may also help.(edit- Olive oil is a good source of Omega 9.)

Extravirgin olive oil up-regulates CB1 tumor suppressor gene in human colon cancer cells and in rat colon via epigenetic mechanisms. Extravirgin olive oil up-regulates CB₁ tumor suppressor gene in human colon cancer cells and in rat colon via epigenetic mechanisms. - PubMed - NCBI

"Moreover, in agreement with the in vitro studies, we also observed a remarkable (~4-fold) and selective increase in CB₁ expression in the colon of rats receiving dietary EVOO supplementation for 10 days" and "Taken together, our findings demonstrating CB₁ gene expression modulation by EVOO or its phenolic compounds via epigenetic mechanism, both in vitro and in vivo, may provide a new therapeutic avenue for treatment and/or prevention of colon cancer."

    Hope that helps!
