I got my Vortex 6" fan today and wow is it noisy. Maybe its just noisy cuz i dont have it hooked up to any duct pipe. Is there any way to quiet it down once I install it in my attic.
lol well if thats ur concern then you shouldn't have bought that lol. how big is ur room that ur trying to filter. If its not that big and your worried about sound...... Buy a regular buy some fans at lowes and set them up to blow air out of the (box) (cabinet) and u create intake holes at the bottom. You have what is known as negative pressure for a cheaper price and alot less noisey>>>>! Lezzyyyyyyyyyyy
They make mufflers for them that work very well. Its more the sound of the air moving than the motor itself.
I bought it to cool my light I got some advice from my neighbor on how to make it quieter. my room is 13'x13'x8'
