So ive always been clumsy and pretty much always have had some kind of injury or something. Like to the point when peole are suprised when i do something and dont end up fucking up and almost killing myself haha. Anyway long story short ive never really minded most types of pain, and that was kind of part of who i was.. back when i viewed myself as how other people viewed me anyway. I kinda used to self harm years ago, made me feel better by distracting me from my thoughts... and i kinda liked the feeling of being cut.. although wierdly i didnt like the feeling of doing it if you know what i mean. Sometimes i used to dare people at school to hurt me like slowly pushing a pen into my arm and stuff. Wow writing that made me realise how fucked up it sounds. Anyway ive always found blood, injuries, scars, pain etc fascinating. Its only recently i started suspecting im some sort of masochist haha. So yea. Not really sure why i said all that, just one of the things thats bugging me haha. Fyi i dont hurt myself anymore or even think about this stuff until just now. I realised how many pictures of various accidental injuries i have and thought id make a thread. Which prompted the whole life story thing. My bad. Im completely sane, stop looking at me like that So post your injury stories and pictures here, accidental stuff only pls. Winner goes to best (worst?) picture and best story. Also, please dont judge, but if anyone else kinda likes.. pain lol, or some kinds of pain, feel free to talk about that too.
When I was 6 I was riding a razor scooter around the perimeter of a tennis court and my dad hit me basically in the temple (had a helmet) from across the court and he serves over 110mph so the ball went wayyyyyy up in the air and I instantly fell from the surprise blast to my head hahaha. Also fell into rose bushes playing basketball near my neighbors garden and by the time I stood up over half my forearms were covered in blood. Good times
Hahaha! Thats a classic, lucky you were wearing a helmet that coulda been lethal Heres one.. Il start off small... so a while ago i was at one of my chill spots toking and chopping the fuck out of some plants with my machete. As you do. So I went and sat in my car to roll another j and stuck my machete into the ground. I spark the joint, take one step and walk into the blade of my fucking machete. Luckily it sliced into my 2nd toe at an angle instead of, like, slicing down between my toes.. Sorry i dont have a proper pic:
I was on a trampoline in my neighbors yard. Its a big olympic sized one they dug into the ground but a lot of the side padding that covers the metal bars is fucked. I threw a cork 720 (off set back flip 720) and in air I knew I was going to land on the bars. I was 8 feet off the grown and I landed with my shin flat out smacking the bar. In air I thought my leg was going to be broken even though I landed flat on my feet. My friends thought my leg should have broke but I just laid there for 5 minutes got up and I couldn't walk. I smoked so many dabs I was worried I was too high and I actually broke something so I walked home and that made my leg hurt worse. After I sat down I couldn't walk at all so I smoked so much weed and hash that I could walk again. My roommate thought I shouldn't be moving around because of how much pain I was in earlier and the weed was definitely covering the pain. After a month the pain receded and my leg is all good. It was bruised super fucking bad.
I've broken enough bones that I stopped keeping track, but I think the number is somewhere around 15. Most painful were collarbone and knee, though I've had some pretty gnarly sprains too. And then there was that time a ceiling collapsed at work and took a layer of my skin with it. Most painful thing that ever happened to me was being bit by a venomous snake though. It nailed me around the ankle and felt like someone holding a flame to my skin. It was intense and ended up doing some nerve damage. An issue between the nurses and I at the hospital got my heart racing and that's when I went into anaphylactic shock. Lessons learned that day: I'm allergic to snakes.
Shit man sounds like you must have at least fractured that, storys a bit confusing tho, did you land on your shins on the bar with your legs bent, then fall to the ground on your feet? Ive been jumping as high as i could on a trampoline before, must have been jumping like 7 foot high off the trampoline, looked down and i was over the ground somehow haha, i swear the wind fucking blew me over the edge... anyway i musta fell like 9 foot onto baked mud, fuck knows how i didnt break anything
I hope i never break my knee that must suck, ive only broken a few bones but most have been awkward breaks.. reminds me theres a video on youtube of me breaking my arm, il find it later lol Fuck man sounds painful, what kinda snake was it? Ive almost been bitten by an adder but i literally saw it and jumped right as it went to bite me and it got my shoe instead of ankle luckily... And thats fuckin funny man, i can imagine you doing a double-take at a nurse and going into shock xD
It was an adder. It was just out of hibernation and it snapped, which isn't usually a big issue because they often just do it for show. Unfortunately it got snagged in my jeans and bit again, giving me the goods. I don't remember much from the hospital, but apparently the nurse wasn't acting fast enough for my liking and I got a little loud before going down on her desk like a sack of potatoes. I reckon that must have got her moving.
If the bar wasn't there I would have landed on both of my feet on the ground no problem. one of the bars was in the way one leg missed it and one leg hit it super hard. My leg hurt on the other side of the bone 10 inches from the impact and obviously a shit ton where my leg hit the bar, that one spot wasn't even hit just because of the flex of the smack I guess my leg must have bent a little when it took in the impact but it looked strait but swollen as fuck. I nearly fucked my leg so badly. I didn't go to the hospital and got high as shit instead for about two weeks eventually it got better but it took a while and I needed crutches. I think it was a really bad bone bruise or something. It was definitely up there with breaking a bone never broken a leg though, last time I broke my arm I thought it wasn't broken until I couldn't move my fingers and my hand started to feel like it was on fire. My arm was also bent as fuck and some how I didn't notice until someone said my arm was broken and it for sure was. They gave me all sorts of toxic drugs and tons of morphine at the emergency room, and operated on my arm. I woke up so fucked up I was puking and they had to wheel me out in a wheel chair. Then they gave me a handful of opiates. They ended double drugging me because I started to wake up when they where moving my bones around. It was fucked. I could feel it a little bit but I wanted to see what they were doing I was high as fuck at that point on a couple different euphoric drugs, I was happy they were fixing my arm because it hurt like a mother fucker when they weren't even messing with it.
The only thing I can say close to wat you were saying on how it was fascinating is that some scars that I would get from doing things can look bad ass. But I wouldn't inflict pain on myself purposely
plus a broken femur +ulna+sprained wrist and broken hand (numerous little bones) luckily my torso was okay with no internal damage.
Fuuck looks pretty damn painful, was it a car accident? How long were you in hospital for and are you better now or still recovering? I think this is the worst injury so far..
I wish I had a video of this, but it happened roughly 10 years ago; I was riding my bike around my neighborhood, going down the biggest hills I could find. I had gone down one of the steepest driveways I could find a couple of times, except this time there was car headed towards me on the street. It was coming at me perpendicularly, and since I had no brakes, I did my best to swerve around the car. I made it, but hit the curb in the process. Not only did I fly over the handlebars, but I chopped a mailbox post in half with my arm. The homeowner heard the commotion, and came outside as I was picking myself back up. Sounding annoyed, she said: "I think you broke my mailbox". I looked back at her, and said: "I think I broke my arm", with it dangling at my side.
i know, lol. 12/26/10--car accident honestly it was extremely painful overall but at first i was so fucked on morphine i couldn't feel anything. Yep, not our best decision on how to spend a night. I was stuck in the hospital/PT for about a month, then wheel chair for a few more weeks. All good now though
I've had more than a few injuries over the years. This happened riding my dirt bike front wheel washed out on me. Slit my arm from my wrist to mid forearm, I stood up and shit was spitting blood.
