Infusion question

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by marduk4195, Aug 28, 2023.

  1. Good day all,
I am a newbie, and I am trying to make my own edibles.
So, I decarb my flower (240 for 20 minutes) Let it cool and put it in with butter.
For infusion, I have seen the following:
I have seen 1 cup water with 1 cup of butter , and 2-3 hours on low heat,
No water just butter and flower , 40 minutes, stirring occasionally

‘what is the best way to infuse in butter, and get the best butter with a good the count?
Also, for oil, is it the oil and flower, or water as well?

‘thanks. Any call outs for what y’all feel is standard would help as well.

  2. Decarb is 40 minutes at 240 degrees.
You would be better to use coconut oil instead of butter........it stores longer.
No water needed.........simmer the decarbed flower and oil for a few hours.
I use 1/2 oz. of oil to 2/3 cup of oil.

  3. Thanks for th# quick reply. I don’t plan on storing it for long. The plan was to make it, take half, put it directly into edibles, and use the other half for cooking during the week.
Do you think it’s better to have it sit a while first before putting it into the edible?
