Info on Dabbing

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by TRico78, Apr 3, 2016.

  1. Hey Guys!
I am a non smoker but my husband is a life long smoker. You guys seem incredibly knowledgeable so I was hoping for some help since I have zero idea what I'm talking about on this subject. My question is the potential effects of dabbing on his lungs. He coughs alot after and I'm concerned that it may lead to lung issues. He says his product is good when I asked if there may be chemicals from purging left in it. The color is like fresh honey and very clear. I've learned to decarb (term ?) And melt it into coconut oil with a dash of soy lecithin and have made him chocolate cupcakes, cheez its and other treats. He loves it but it's not always cost efficient so he prefers dabs. I'm worried that my love is breaking lung capillaries and creating damage. I'm hoping someone can clarify the health factor and give me some advice. Thanks in advance everyone!

  2. Im not sure of the specific health effects but coughing while dabbing or any other form of smoking is normal (especially with concentrates). An occasional cough the day after a long smoke session is also to be expected. If its persistent coughing after a suitable amount of time or coughing up fluid or large amounts of flem, then i would be concerned.

  3. It's definitely not during the day, just for a bit after dabbing. He's been smoking then moved on to dabbing starting at age 14 and we are in our 30s. I was afraid of some sort of repetition injury to the lungs lol Thank u for responding!
