Infinite Universe theory/string theory

  1. Ok im in astronomy right now and man we learn some awesome stuff. We got into talking about the speed the earth spins and the speed of the galaxy etc. The infinite universe theory is that if there are infinite universes, everything you have ever imagined, or anything that is possible has happened, it has to happen because we live in a universe, and if stuff goes on here, if there are infinite other universes, everything has happened. Its a pretty mind blowing thought.

String theory is the theory that our universe is in a sea of other universes, out universe could be a water droplet on a shower curtin in another universe. Like we are actually smaller then we think, and there is tons out there, what do you guys think?

  2. *bump, and should this be in the general section or no?

  3. Maybe you should try the Science and Nature Forum?

There have been threads on the string theory before, but the theory is over my head for now.

  4. String Hypothesis!

  5. Yea its not really spirituality but the science and nature didn't have a fit, oh well I figured there would have been a thread like this before, should have searched :(

  6. I wish people would refer to it as this. It's not helping people understand the Theory of Evolution is fact.

  7. Indeed :D

But it is a very visionary, consise and coherent hypothesis. It explains a lot and makes perfect sense. Now, whether or not it is valid, that is another question alltogether. :)

(and this really belongs in the S&N part of the forum)

  8. Nasa just released those 59 hubble telescope shots of galaxies colliding with one another. Imagine the billions upon billions of possible things happening there.
