Hey everybody, I was just wondering if you guys get upset when you talk about growing cannabis and somebody jumps in and states, "Oh that shit is easy, I grew flowers in my backyard once so I can grow pot." It infuriates me, honestly. If you've never done something, never seen the process, never read anything about it, you don't know how to do it, but they argue that it's the exact same thing. Yeah it's funny how many pot heads I work with that think this herb grows easily without tlc. I showed one of my coworkers a frosty bud shot of my grow and he was like "looks good dude it should start flowering soon" I was like SMH it only has 30 days left til harvest haha. Hahaha that's fucking hilarious! I myself half no experience growing, however, I've read tons of tutorials, watched time lapses, etc. and I at least understand how much different the plant is than others and how much harder it is to grow. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
It's amazing how much you learn and so quick from reading then encounter dummies who don't know jack. I saw three jokers huddled and speaking all hush in Walmart bulb aisle I just wanted to say hey you want these but let it go I ain't speaking up about nothin to nobody. lol Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I was that person. Last year. I grow fruit and veggies but cannabis is a a whole new ball game Purple Auto Grow Shared Bed Organic No till 15 gallon pot auto grow 24x24x36 auto grow tent 6 autoflowering and 3 regular seed
I don't think it's that hard to grow. What's hard is getting a huge stoney harvest of cannabis flowers. Most people think they can do it with a light off of their end table when in reality it takes some serious power. You can't recreate the sun in your tent for free.
I mean I'm sure it can't be THAT hard, but this chick was talking about how she would instantly be able to grow at master grower levels. Why? Cause she works in a garden center. Yeah, I've got experience growing peppers, tomatoes, etc. but like goodgrace said, judging just by reading a few things, it's definitely a whole different ball game. Especially if you want good yields and qualities. I unfortunately haven't had the opportunity to start my grow yet. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Besides that, flower after the trim and before you harvest looks entirely different, as platinumkidd seems to have learned lol Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Really? I always thought it was pretty damn easy. Good lighting, cover your nutrient or organic bases and a timer and it pretty much takes care of itself besides watering every few days. J
One of the bigger problems would BE the lighting. She worked in a plant nursery, as they call it, for like a week, with almost all natural lighting, and she's talking about shit like indoor hydroponic grows, and didn't even want to come close to admitting she didn't know what kind of lighting to use. "So if you want to grow weed, what kind of light rig would you use? I'm curious, because I have been looking at different set ups." "I WORK AT A NURSERY FOR PLANTS DUDE I KNOW HOW TO GROW STUFF!" Edit: also, as far as my comments agreeing about it being on a completely different level than growing basic foods and plants, that's just based on reading, as I've said, I myself am an admittedly inexperienced grower, but I admit that. What annoys me is people who have grown a small handful of plants in their life and act like they're master growers of cannabis Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I agree with you. I am glad I haven't had any major probs. Of course I didn't use too many different nutes and was in soil. It is difficult for me to diagnose problems. Many look the same. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
