So ive always grown indoors, but im feeling adventureful and want to try doing some outdoor stuff. ive done cloning with indoor but always veg for 24 hrs and flower 12/12, but was worried if i veg the clones inside on 24 when i pop them outside they will go into flower. and then also how long will clones stay good for and the best way to keep them fresh? Thanks for your help gc!
They will when put outside stay with the vegative growth and start flowering around Early/Mid August, finish around End of September/mid october. Clones root in about 10-14 days after that with roots established they are ready for soil. I would suggest breaking them in to the Sun's powerful brightness. Conditioning clones/cuts should be done by putting then in a mostly shaded area for 5-7 days with each day you let them get a longer dose of the full sun.. So they don't burn due to the sun's intense POWER> Good Luck and research through google or other various ganja friendly sites. GooD LucK
I have to disagree with the notion that clones grown under 24 hrs. light would remain in the vegetative state when set outside under natural light. My whole process involves vegetating under 18 hrs. and then setting the plants out to flower...which they always do after a week or two. If anything, clones, being mature plants, will be more ready to go into flower once the photoperiod changes.
thats what i was somewhat thinking oldschool. if i rooted the clones inside on 24 they will go into flower early i think. even 18 may be too long as im a lil north and the spring days are still somewhat short.
I agree. I only run 18 hrs. light because it gets too warm during the daytime in my growbox. 24 hrs. will increase vegetative growth. The plants should begin flowering withing a week or so after you set them out.
Hey my clones will be ready to go outside around mid to end april and i want them to start flowering around august. I live in north also so the days are a little shorter and i was wondering how many hrs of light i should give my clones before puttin them outside.
Hey wouldn't it be bestfor when your cloning your plants to take the peatball with the clipping and place it inthe same soil you'll be using outside to prevent shock? Idk just a thought.
