I need some advice on making an indoor grow set up, I want to have a relativly small set up maybe 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 ft tent. I don't want to spend over $1500, and I want to try to yield at least 1/2 pound per plant with at least a 6-7 plant build. What are my best options?
I'm no expert, but from what I've read and observed: I'd suggest having seperate veg and flower tents or cabs, MH and HPS bulbs (ballast, hood reflector etc.) 400-1000watts, a good PH tester, timer, and one of those outside or inside thermometers that also measures humidity. Decide if you want to use bagseed or order a specific strain of bud or femenized seeds. Then you choose soil or hydro based on experience level and whatnot. From what I can tell bubble buckets seems to be the way to go for hydro if you wanna go that route. Gotta get soil or rockwool, nutes, PH up and down.... uh.... That's all I can think of off the top of my head. This is where I'll be ordering my light from in a couple weeks. 1/2 lbs per plant is ..... WAY over realistic. you can really est 1-2.5 oz per plant. in a 3x3 tray you can fit 9 plants 1 per square foot. ( you can fit as many as you want but if you want to get bigger yields you need bigger plants. btw a 600 watt covers a 3x3 just right. If you wanted a 4x4 ( leaving you with no space to move around or get to the back plants.) you would need a 1000 watt and could do 16 plants. that being said, when you have that and EVERYTHING else under control you can expect 3x3 to get you 1/2 - 1.5 lbs 4x4 should get you 1-2.5 lbs every 3 months.
