First to make things clear, i'm a complete newbie when it comes to growing. I have around 20 exhile seeds which I wouldn't mind to experiment in growing. I live in a house with a walkout basement with a lot of windows, so its really bright and lots of sunlight. I'm wondering if I can grow it without any lights, just by placing it in the sunlight by the window. Right now in central alberta, canada, the sunrises at around 8 am and sets at around 5pm. Is it absolutely neccessary for a plant to have 24/7, 18/6, 12/12 lighting? Can you just let nature take its course with the lighting (sunlight). If I start growing the seedling right now, it will get around 7 hours of sunlight. I don't really care how long it takes to grow but i'd just like some potent buds.
http://www.a1b2c3.com/drugs/mjgrow2.htm is a great guide on indoor growing i would still get a metalic halide light and keep it 16/8 until it is old enough to bud and then switch to 12/12 so it will bud faster. life's a bitch, and then you die, so fuck the world, lets all get high!
I probably just want to start off growing one plant, even if its male I can always make some hash/brownies. The reason i'd rather grow it beside the window is because I dont want to spend any money on lighting.
get some floros from walmart or some shit, like 15 bucks... you arent going to get hardly anything if you grow them like that...u need more light and more hours of light...
well the more light the better (unless heat becomes an issure) but Id think that you could use those just get a few of them for every plant its not gonna work too great, but it will be better then nothing..... peace
whats up yeh you are going to need some sort of lighting........just spend a little cash now...it will save some later....peace
buy a ncie grow light, it will pay for itself in the future. figure you get a 100 dollar light, and well you will make it back fast. http://www.e-conolight.com/Product/EProducts.asp?ProductFamilyID=3 They have some cheap lights that you can use for growing in there.. jsut spend some money get a nice light and you will be doing great before you know it
the plant would grow in the window, maybe not very well but it would grow ... depending on where you live ... time of year etc.. the only problem is windows arent exactly one way ... as in if lights getting in theres a dam good chance some nosey old grannys having a good look too.. as others have said .. spend some money ya tight bugger.lol
