I have a mylar Grow box I made with 4 twenty Watt florescent bulbs wich I run at night on the plants to give more light then the 8 hours of sunshine I can offer in the day on any day usually, typical to Hawaii and the island being next to the equator . I am using Fox Farm Organic potting mix and locally bought rich Hawaiian soil . The plants are about a week old and looking healthy and growing a smige taller everyday and the leaves are getting bigger and fuller and are raised up in the air showing sighns of good health . I have started them In 4 inch square pots that i will eventually transfer to gallon pots . any advice ? am I doing anything wrong ?
That's fine, just make sure those fluoros are very close to the plants, literally one inch away (basically as close as possible without actually touching). That's OK light for now but within a couple of weeks you will need stronger light. You have only 8 hours of light a day there this time of year?
