Likely a dumb question but I'm a perfectionist so what can I say...it's a disease. I bought some Thermometer/Hygrometers and they have an indoor/outdoor button to adjust the setting. Since I am doing an indoor grow and essentially replicating outside conditions so the plants think they are outdoors, shouldn't I set the thermometer to outdoor? I ask because it shows the temperature to be higher on the indoor setting and lower if it is set to outdoor. Thanks in advance for answering!
I assume this unit has a remote sensor, either wireless or a thin wire to a small piece to stick on your outside wall? If so, then realize that the probe is what the unit considers "outside" and the base of the unit is what it considers "inside." Put the remote probe in the box under the lights at plant-top height and read the "outside" setting.
