Hello everyone, this is my first time growing. I am trying to do it as cheap as possible, i live in the desert, so is very dry, i have it in my closet with an 45W LED light, a fan, water as needed, soil is happy frog. Trying to be as simple as possible without nutrients and give it a shot like that. So just water. Next batch i will add more stuff depending on how i am doing. The seed i am growing is "Thai Kush"

    Any help is appreciated.

This is going on day 14. What do you guys suggest to do next? When does the vegetation stage starts?

  2. Looks healthy just know you won't grow much with just 45w of lighting. Get a cheap 300w marshydro from Amazon, will do you fine for one plant. There like 65 dollars.

  3. When does the vegetation stage starts? as soon as you give it more light

better to put it out during the day and give it another 8 hours under a light

    will give you some veg

    good luck

  5. your ok for now cuz the soil is feeding it for you and stabilizing the ph...THAT will change however and you will need to feed it something....also the light you have is just not that good...do what up in smoke said and get a cheap 65 dollar led..
AND plan on buying nutrients meant for cannabis ...

Personally I tried CFLs, I wasn't impressed with the buds, airy like. I have over 300w of CFLs. Yield wasn't great either. Had I known what I know now, cheap LED would have worked better and with a more correct spectrum.

  10. I wouldn't suggest having a rack of more than 10 cfl's @ 25w each a total of 250w if that?

    you get diminishing returns

more than 200 watts is 250w HPS territory

far far grater Lu/watt return but also the heat,

the deal with CFL's is too keep them very close to the leaf,

    within a inch ..IMO:

    good luck

  11. Why?

And btw you can get a GalaxyHydro LED setup on Amazon for $69.
