Yo All, On my 2nd grow at the mo. Using a small tent with a 250w hps light. Having issue's with the webcam though. Since the grow is in the attick I don't want to be getting up unnecessarily. I have tried 2 webcams so far with no success, one was a piece of shit webcam run via usb cable, the 2nd was a mates, recently purchased, a y-cam nightcam webcam of high quality. On both webcams when viewing remotely or locally by either phone or pc ( didn't matter which ) I get horizental black lines moving down the video image, obviously caused by the high light intensity from the 250w hps light. I've tried mounting the cam inside the tent / grow room, both above and below the light with no success. I am calling on an expert / advanced grower or video specialist (lol) that has successfully mounted a webcam inside his grow room using a high intensity hps light no further than 60cm's away from the light. How did you do it ? What webcam did you use ? & Do you get picture perfect / video perfect quality minus the black horizental lines that move down the video image ? Thanx Yo
yea light intensity screws with most cameras, you can atleast see if they need water. you could add a Metal Halide in there, that might help some.. there easier on camera lens's or you could install a flourescent that comes on like 10 minutes before your lights and runs like 10 minute after your lights go off and make a reminder on your computer or phone to check it then when the lens would be clear.. difficult for sure.. but thats kinda the options i see.
sony hd handy cam hooked up to a computer via usb, Then you would just have to put the handycam into livestream mode and you good!
