Indoor growing uk

    Hi, looking into starting to grow a few plants for personal use. Looking at hydroponic systems, something like this:

    Would this be suitable for growing a few plants and would I still need a heat lamp as I’m in the uk?

    No don't buy it
    If you haven't ever grown weed before I don't suggest going with a Hydroponic grow.
    I would never buy another store made hydroponic system, the home made ones are better.
    You want a grow tent and the taller the better.
    then what ever size of the tent you need quality led lighting at 35 watts per square foot of grow space.
    Example 2x4 tent is 8 square feet times 35 watts per square foot is 280 actual watts of led lighting;
    Now is the time to know what strain you plan on growing as in sativa or indica.
    Your going to need timers and inline fans and i would start off with bagged potting soil which is actually compost add in some real soil and sand and perlite or pea gravel.

    Thanks for your response. In general terms if I buy a suitable hydroponic system would I need heat lights?

    Your grow lights will produce all the heat you need, the issue is you need to keep the hydroponic system water reservoir at 68 F
    With hydroponics thats just the beginning.
    What is your budget ?
    What strain are you going to grow ?
    How much room do you have to grow in.
    Do you own your place or are you a renter?
    Will you have to cover up the smell of weed.
    What is the water quality where you live ?

    And the list goes on and on and on.

    I own my place and have the loft which has windows so can ventilate. Live in Scotland so water quality is good. Would be looking to grow sativa strain at first
