    Hey guys,

I know I posted a few pictures of my seedlings here under CFL lights. I decided to finally put them in their final nesting spot. I'm doing a half hydro, half soil grow. The roots on these ladies are about the full size of my hand. I've never done a hydro grow before , so this is new for me. They are in a 4x4x7 tent. Soil is FFOF w/ 25% pert. The hydro right now is on water (50% tap 50% bottled) with a ph of 6.87 and 72 ppm. I did not add any nutes to either. I figure I have to add to the hydro sooner than later. If anyone has any tips on what I should give the ladies, if anything. I know the soil how will be good for another few weeks. I'm afraid to top them so I may stick to LST, as I'm familiar with training that way. If anyone's interested I can keep this as a grow journal.

  2. As for lighting, I'm using a 600w Sunmaster full spectrum HID

  3. Actually, I got my lights wrong. I'm using a MH bulb. Is this ok for veg and flower?

  4. Anyone have any input on the bulb?

  5. HPS is best for flower. You should be feeding the RDWC side from the beginning and your pH is way off for hydro - it should be in the 5.5-5.8 range. Are you running the drip rings 24/7 I hope?

  6. Yes drip rings are running 24/7. I'll have to lower my PH as soon as I'm home then. Should I dilute it with distilled water?

  7. I don't use distilled water - I use tap water so I can't comment on that. I would start the pH at around 5.6 or so and let it rise to about 6.2 then re-adjust back down so that all the elements are available to the plant.

  8. Bottled water is almost the same as tap water, Costco's bottle water - 293 ppm's with chlorine.
my tap water 301 ppm with chlorine. just use your tap water, lower the PH

If anything, use R.O water, but its not needed. I obtain the same results using tap/my R.O system. Plus setting the PH in R.O water licks balls lol

  9. Thanks! I'm almost positive I have a ph problem but have to take it slow since idk how much PH down to actually use. I see now it's clearly hurting the plants. I have a 2 yellow leaves on each hydro, and the soil ones are rocking right now. Learning curve I guess :/
