Indoor Cannabis Plant Bending

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Johnson215, Aug 18, 2019.

  1. Help Please. I’m a first time beginner grower and Today is day 14 of the plant growth and we have a issue. The plants are bending. They get watered 3-4 days and under 18/6 light schedule. Any suggestions on what to do ? Or what could be the issue. We have not yet started feeding fertilizer straight water, ph 6.7.

  2. Just looks drunk on H2O to me. It's still young. You probably just gave it a little too much water, and it's down turning it's leaves for a break.
Leave 'er be, it should straighten up by tomorrow'ish. Let it dry out until the cup is fairly light. I try not to water on a schedule when they are young, I let them tell me when they need it.

  4. Thanks, I’m in the process of transplanting them now into a 5 gallon pot and I used a little root magic mycorrhizae. Hopefully this resolves our issue. Thanks again

  5. Thanks , I’ll avoid watering for a couple days

  6. second that .

  7. Agreed with @MickFoster it should be transplanted soon. Is that 14 days since sprouting? Decent growth rate unless those are Smurf beer cups lol! Looks like Nuken does when it's young. Ginormous leaves.

  8. Yes it’s been 14 days since sprouting. The plants have now been transferred into 5 galloon pots.

  9. Nice. It'll be rocking in a few days once the roots take off.

  10. Do you have any led light suggestions ? Also when do you determine when you start feeding your seedlings ?

  11. Quantum boards are probably the best thing going right now. I'm using '800' boards. 800 diodes on each 300W board. 6 boards total. Insane light effects. My plants love these lights...and so do I. I bought them from Shenzhen Meijiu Lighting Co. on Alibaba.

As far as "feeding" my seedlings, they are always being fed. The second they start to show roots on the peat pucks, they get put into really rich organic soil.

I just make sure to let them dry out a little between waterings. This causes the roots to explode as they search for damp soil. Young ones react to drier soil better than they do to overly wet soil. When they are really young, like in the first week or so, I let the pot get light, make sure the top of the soil is dry, then I dunk them an inch or two into a bowl of water for a second or two, and let the water draw up to the seedling. That's how I typically do it when they are real young and in small containers. I have also used eye droppers, and also used small measuring cups (1/8th cup for example) to do small watering, but as I always have water bubbling in a rez, I just resort to dunking them lately.

Once the roots have filled most of the beer cup or small container, then I tend to resort to top watering, and always water to runoff, being sure to saturate the whole container. This last part should be followed regardless the stage of growth to prevent salt build up and dry soil spots.

It becomes trickier with seedlings in big pots for obvious reasons.
