Indica/Sativa ratios

Discussion in 'Beginner Cannabis Consumption & Tips' started by antiscian, Jan 29, 2010.

  1. New 420 patient and my first purchase was two strong sativas. One of them was 80:20 sativa to indica and the other was near 100% sativa. Having not smoked for years, I gave both a try and found the high to be too uncomfortable cerebral that it made me paranoid and very anxious. I used to smoke five years ago and the strains were mostly good. However, after my strong sativa purchase, I deduced that the weed I used to smoke was mostly indica or at the very least hybrids that leaned towards indica.

I am headed back to the dispensary tonight to swap out my stuff and I am trying to figure out what ratios indica to sativa are the best in terms of creating a relaxing body buzz with a stoney feeling but not TOO couchlocky. I will be asking the dispensary for guidance but I wanted to see what you guys thought about the matter.

Any knowledge, feedback or comments would be appreciated to help guide me!

  2. med patient here too. i like to pick up 100% indica's for the couch lock, painkiller, relaxed kinda high. sativa is the cerebral head high, almost like coffee. i would suggest trying an indica out. grand daddy purple and og kush are some of my favorite indica strains.

  3. So like a 60(Indica):40(Sativa) maybe, if thats possible lol

  4. Those are both available. Do you also get other strong indica strains that have more sativa in them or do you stick to the OG/Grand daddy? I know that OG is a hybrid with sativa, I am just not sure how much sativa is in it.

  5. They do have a strain that is really close to GDP. I looked it up and it says that for an indica, it has a nice energetic buzz to it. Sounds right up my alley!
