I will be growing in a 2'x2'wide 7' high closet and I have a serious vent problem.(basically I cant vent anywhere as I cant cut a hole in the closet! I will be using two 125w CFLs on three lowryder and I will have an oscillating fan in there too. As I cannot cut any holes in the wardrobe would it be a huge problem to leave the door slightly open and leave the window in my room open so fresh air can get in? or would I lose too much light? I often read people say they need to patch up holes to keep their cabs light tight but is this for light getting in during the dark period or for light getting out during the light period or both? are they equally as important? Thanks in advance
Yeah if your lights are on and you have your fan going then its fine to keep your door open for air exchange. Most people would prefer not to for security reasons. But when your in the dark side of the 12/12 make sure there are no light leaks. Good luck.
If you are trying to minimize the smell factor without venting you could try using some odor absorbing kitty litter along with room air fresheners. No real way to get rid of the smell with out venting though. But these measures should help to disguise it a little better. Check out my grow its a similar setup, with LR#2's. for venting, i just pushed the backing off my wardrobe. i dont have any pics of this but it left a 1'in gap for air around the top & side of the grow space. The grow is 25 days in & lookin good. Good luck with your grow
