improving

  1. So I was looking in improving my cloning technique .... Right now Ill average about seven out of 20 cutting that root, from what I've read some people get 100% of the cutting to root and I'm under 50%. Ok so that is what I do ...

I'll take a cutting from anywhere normally starting at the top nods down of the mother ( about the size of a bic lighter ) with scissors
Then I cover the cutting in clone x for about 30 second while I soak rockwool cubes in water with clone x ( about 3ml per liters )
I'll put the cutting in the cube and after doing that about 20 time and place them in a humidity dome
I spray then every day with some water and clone x ( again 3ml per liter ) and leave it open for about a min to give I some freash air.

some good advice or any good reads that are cost effective are greatly appreciate

  2. I do pretty much exactly the same but use peat pellets instead and I very rarely get a fatality. what light do you have above them? I don't water them with clonex solution, I use just water straight from the tap. when I prepar the peat pellets I fully soak them in water and give them a good squeeze so no water will drip from them, make a small hole and push the clone stem in there. I dip the stem in clonex first and trim off some of the foliage

  3. here's how much foliage I keep on the clones. I have experimented with more and less and this seems to be about happy medium

  4. I do about the same with foliage and I have then under some CFLs ..... And I don't water them besides soaking the cubes... Ima try them peat pellets and watering

  5. I'm on my first grow and took clones just to make sure I knew how to do it. I got CloneX. Took the clones, and cut them at a 45 degree angle. Then split them up the middle twice like you were cutting a sandwich in 4 pieces. Dip in CloneX, and shove into Rockwool. Into my humidity dome under a CFL bulb with 24 hours light. A week to 2 weeks later I have roots. I rooted 8 of 8.

  6. I did exactly that my first time and u got more casualties ......... I'm very guelas .... Now I do the 45 degree cut and 3 week some get roots .... Do water then or spray then .... And what's ur temperature ..... I've notice that mine get kinda cold like 60f ....

  7. Just water in the bottom of the tray, and underneath the dome to keep humidity up. Keep in a warm place. I just put them in my living room. If you can't keep in a warm place they make heating mats for clones that you put under your dome and it keeps them warm. I honestly didn't mess with them at all. Didn't check temp, humidity, etc. Just made sure they were somewhere somewhat warmish (not cold) and always had water. Other than that, I didn't really do anything and they rooted great.

  8. 60 is too cold for them to root successfully. Keep it above 70. That is ur problem. Heat mats or a better seal to keep heat in. Or get a portable space heater and spend some time dialing it in. GL

  9. mine all show roots within a week, most around 4-5 days, sometimes as little as 3 days
