Code: I had been painting the last two eveninThegs on the area under the stairwell. I will be able to maximize my lighting (600 W HPS/MH)/ Had to get the paint at Home Depot (some of those checkout girls are HOT). Used a Behr brand ultra-brite white gallon with 1.5 oz of titanium dioxide added as tint. My search discovered that this will make bright whites more reflective in nature. The walls in this area are solid concrete so the paint has been sucking in pretty well. Got second coat on tonite and it don't look bad for an amateur redneck. Got a white widow in the grow bag, Bubblicious in the yellow pot and a one or the other is the smaller plant. The 2 big ones were [lanted late PM on 8/26 and the smaller was one of 3 I planted in containers outside that popped thru, so it came in under the bright lights. It is housebroke now, so all is well. Also picked up some Alaskan fish poop at HD and fed that to my houseplants that are still doing well outside. I am not good with houseplant names, but they are doing well nonetheless. Enjoy the pics. More info is under the thread, "I finally got off my butt and got busy" in this same section. I discover they like the Ballet CD really well.
I also found that if I do my light the way I think will work best, I could literally grow a 5' plant. I painted all the stairbottoms and such so t will just be clean, fun bright white reflective light.
don't use "alaska morbloom 0-10-10" nasty chemical in there. fish is processed using ethoxyquin. definitely not organic. that being said the soil can handle it i think, i'd go 1/4 strength (if I hadn't cut fish products out tha mix) lookin nice and green in there Blade az are there aloe vera or agave growing around there you can snip a leaves off? just curious.
