  2. HIGH All, visko I know you said your not around any big stores...maybe look at this box and see if you can get any other ideas to throw into your box

  3. Heya!

Things I would consider (and have built into my box) are as follows:

VENTILATION - In a sealed box, I've put small holes around the entire bottom of the box and mounted a fan at the top center. The fan blows OUT. The reason for this is that cooler air is drawn in to the bottom. Since CO2 is heavier than air, it precipitates towards the ground, so the air drawn in may be more rich in CO2. Also, the cooler air circulates through the plants pretty thoroughly, and gently wags their tops on the way past the lights. This maintains temperature well, as the final leg of the air's path through the box takes it across the lights and out the top. In most of my boxes, the fan has been salvaged from a computer. Small boxes get a CPU cooling fan (about 2.5" square) while a Large box gets a full computer cooling fan(about 5-6" square.) These fans can conveniently be run on small 3-12v power supplies for next to nothing.

LIGHT - I noticed that you use the round flourescents. Most of these had a yellow hue to them. You want a broader spectrum of light. You might see if you can get a growlux or garden type round for your system. People also tend to get overblown on HPS and such. I don't think for a small operation this is always practical. I know in my closet, HPS would probably burn the place down. Instead I use a combination of cool flourescents and clear incandescents WITH A WARM or YELLOW HUE. This covers a wide light spectrum. My theory is that the soft, cool flouros simulate sky, and the incandescents simulate sun. For phototropic exercise, weed's been known to prefer light with a strong focal point.

I've had pretty good results with the above technologies. No award-winning half-ounce colas, but some damn good smoke under tight circumstances!

    I wish you the best!
