I feel like my body is just falling apart piece by piece. I eat fast food almost daily, smoke cigs/weed, never workout, and im always coughing up flem. Growing up my parents never taught me a damn thing about how to eat healthy. What foods are good for you and do you guys have any tips for living healthy? Im not overweight at all. I fear I might be dead from cardiovascular disease by the time im 45.
Hmm. I'm no doctor, but give this a try. Drop the fast food, stop smoking cigarettes, start working out, and get your diet in order. Look up "paleo diet" and start eating how our species ate for the bulk of its evolution.
Start with the fast food and Cigs.... get nicotine gum and quit that ASAP... start eating healthy salads/sandwich's from a local deli instead, but keep it simple, turkey and cheese and/ a small soup. It is tough to change it up but well worth it. Once you quit the cigs things will taste better.... It is going to be a back and forth for a while your habis will pull you back in... tough it out and try to not give in.... Good luck best to you.
Thanks, ill definitely be working once giving up fastfood and cigs. The paleo diet sounds interesting, ill have to research that some more. An old friend of mine who ive recently started hanging out with against has put a lot of exercise equipment in his basement and im planning on working out with him.
The first thing that i would do is start off by going on a walk a few times a week. Then, when you feel like pushing yourself more start jogging and you get the picture lol goodluck
That's the best thing you can do man. Work out with a friend. Men are competitive, so you can be sure you'll get a good workout because you'll be in that competitive spirit. Paleo is great. I've eaten that way my entire life, so it's just second nature to me by now. But eliminating grains from the diet has so many health benefits that it's absolutely crazy that people still continue to consume them. They're the cause of so many autoimmune diseases and gastric problems; not to mention obesity.

Just get out there. Join a gym if you can or just walk around and find a good place where you can jog at.Start out small don't switch your life around that fast because I've known people who do switch by the next day and don't last very long...the internet is great for all kinds of tips found most of what I know in the forum at bodybuilding.com just by reading. If you're not willing to go full-blown paleo about it though, just cutting out fast food will help a lot. There are two things that make people (or at least me anyway) want fast food. Convenience, and craving a burger. So keep your kitchen filled with convenient and somewhat healthy foods that you like enough to eat on a regular basis. Fruits and vegetables ideally, but most anything you could eat at home will be healthier than a fast food meal. I snack a lot on tortilla chips and fresh salsa for instance. I like the pico de gallo kind of salsa, which you can make at home super easily and it's super tasty. If you're craving a burger, buy some ground beef (or even ground turkey or something) and make them yourself at home. Maybe bake some french fries in the oven. I eat fast food sometimes too, but daily, man? That's bad.

i cant give up cigs, but i can eat healthier. first thing, no fucking soda. soda is a fucking drug and nobody can deny that shit. it contains so much sugar it is ridiculous. just drink water, trust me it doesnt taste as good but once u get used to it you will always want to drink it and if you drank alot of sodas like i did it severly cuts back on your calorie intake. second, cut back on cigs. you dont have to smoke everytime you drive, eat, jackoff, etc.. just give yourself a few throughout the day and slowly work ur way back. last, cook your own food. its so much cheaper and healthier, i know its not as convinient and doesnt seem to taste as good, but trust me all that good tasting shit is whats bad for you. now im not going to be a food nazi, just eat fast food in moderation, along with sodas and cigs. treat these things as a reward, not just a part of life. trust me man when you reward with things it makes it alot more special and you appreciate it alot more. think about when you dont smoke all day
Listen dude just dont be lazy and do something everyday and you should balance your self out, and drink tons of water nothing else its the sugar that gets you fat not the fat calories or carbs. If you need more help let me know im an athlete and an personal trainer that happens to toke.

Just try eating whole foods. Stay to the perimeters of the grocery store.
