I’ve only been there to the casinos but Mississippi is a red state so my guess would be to stay low with weed. The casinos are on the strip and kind of off to themselves but my feeling was that the rest of the place was typical conservative south. That said, Biloxi has a history of corruption that would make Capone cringe.
