America wus such a wonderful discovery. Something new a place rich with natural resources.Something infinitely better than what they had before. Given that you survive the ride but the south was such a great place if you were born into the right family.slaves do all of the heavy lifting and you enjoy the profit having all the time in the world to go to bbqs and fish fries.
The south will rise again!!! No, but in all seriousness it's pretty fucked up that you regret you weren't born into a family that owns slaves...
ha...haha...hahahahahahahahahahaha oh fuck, this is one fat steaming pile of troll excremement with little pieces of cornular rascist bits neatly tucked away inside trol lol lol lol looooool man
i dont know that he's trolling. i mean, its not nice, but if you were a southern aristocrat back then and you had slaves it was a pretty kushy gig. i mean, he might even be being satirical like the onion does. are you OP? as for america, im glad its here cus if it wasnt i wouldnt have been born and theres alot of great stuff here. that said, our anscestors raped and pillaged their way across the continent in a most brutal manner. some argue that the indians were already a warlike people before we got here and they were already busy killing eachother before we had a chance to kill them, but that is a poor excuse because even if a group of people are busy killing eachother, it still isnt your business to go and kill them. that just makes things worse. some argue that the indians were inflexible in their descision not to share the land so the settlers HAD TO kill them, but thats just another poor excuse because the colonists could've just settled around the indians and left them their ancestral homelands. we ended up adopting a sort of fucked up, perverse version of that idea by putting the indians on "reservations", which is really just an underhanded way of sweeping them under the rug, out of the eyes of polite society. if you recall the "trail of tears", that was a forced march of indians in the 1700's on the way to the new "indian reservation" and half of the thousands of men, women, and children there died. to this day, indian reservations are infested with poverty, drug and alcohol addiction, and crime of every kind. its because the original purpose of having them was to serve as a people trashcan for human waste: the indians. and then theres the blacks, who got fucked just as bad. our ancestors opressed pretty much every minority they saw. many people were opressed and killed due to the founding of america. on the other hand, many great scientists, inventors, writers, artists, musicians, and otherwise great minds have come to america and been born here. their contributions to the world have added to the collective human experience and made the world a better place. without america that would not be so. what i dont understand is why the pilgrims took a fuggin boat across the atlantic ocean. there was plenty of unincorporated europe left. they could've taken that and spared themselves the long, deadly trip. it almost seems like an emotional thing to do, its like the pilgrims hated the catholic church so much that they didnt even wanna be on the same continent as them, even if it meant dying on their way to the new world. even if it meant starving your family and subjecting them to all kinds of dangers. the pilgrims left us their protestant culture which is with us to this day, even among atheists. it accentuates hard work, but it also accentuates isolation, xenophobia, sexual and emotional repression, and an oppositional mentality from having fought the british and the indians for this land. now look at all those traits and ask yourself "am i familiar with these things?", and the answer should be yes because we experience them every day as americans. thats the protestant culture. america is a magnificent part of the Earth. beautiful and bountiful. i was born here, so its all i know and love. that said, every politician in our whole history including the founding fathers can suck my freedom fry, i dont owe them shit and alot of them were horrible people. like lincoln for instance. everyone tries to say he was such a nice guy, but he was quoted saying that if he could preserve the union without freeing one slave, he would do it. he didnt even care about them. several other founding fathers actually owned slaves and used them as their personal concubines, having mixed children with them. i enjoy the fruits of their labor, but they were no heroes and i dont think we should speak of them as fondly as we do. we have made them into legends, angels in heaven, but they were no angels when they were alive. we gotta take the good with the bad i guess. we came from a fucked up past, but we're here, and its nice.
Change my avatar fuck u talk to me like a condescending prick if you take the morales out of it and accept that deep down you now it would be a sweet deal even if it wasn't right even if it wasn't "the right thing" people have done fucked up shit for thousands of years it wasn't until recently we started having democracies where everything was equal for everyone TRULY EQUAL and I'm not say what they did was right so don't assume but if you were born in that specific time period you were livin pretty sweet
Jesus h Satan, are you alright dude? No one here knows what the hell your talkin aboutt, just stop yelling, dang.
Why does everyone forget the natives? i mean rele, its almost like this whole slave thing somehow covers up for something just as bad, if not worse.
