Hey man, congratulations! I have a 7 year old daughter and nothing brings me more joy in life than time with her. You sound like you'll be a good dad because you're already excited and haven't run away from the idea of being a parent.

Yeah we're all potheads here hence we glorify herb on a daily basis, but I assure you that the first time you hold your kid nothing else in the world will matter. Depending on the upbringing you elect to give them, you may find yourself seriously restricted on the amount of smoking you'll do - but trust me man, your kids will make it worthwhile.

Only advice I can give is to say don't let the first few weeks of baby's life get on top of you or get you down, it's a tough time and you'll be tired and grouchy from the 3am shift... but kids get easier to look after the bigger they get, the first month is just a blur of diapers, milk and vomit, after that they start sleeping the night and it gets easier. You've got a lot of cramming to do and a lot of baby gear to learn about!

  4. Hey grass, it seems out timing will coincide a bit.
Yeah we've decided to try this year too.

First comes the detox/no weed/healthy diet and extra gym kick we're on for three months, then we're going to try in the last 1/4 of 2012.

Looking forward to and dreading it at the same time.

Good luck to both of you, man.

  5. This is great man! im excited for you, and it sounds like your taking for the responsibility nicely. try to promote a very very calm enviroment for your wife while shes pregnant, dont let her get stressed or pissy. that stuff gets passed along you know?

  16. Congratulations bro. I'm not sure if I can have kids due to a health condition, but we'll see. I bet you'll be a great dad and bring up a great kid unlike a lot of the idiots I see (In real life, not on the City).
