So I hit my laptop computer after having a minor, but kind of serious argument. Upon hitting it, the computer started to make noise, like the hard drive was partially damaged (it sounds like a spinning DVD that can't be read). The computer still works fine, but it makes the noise every time I pick it up. If I bend the motherboard with my bare hands, the noise stops. At least I only paid about $150 for it. LOL that's much less than what people pay for ipads. Plus, it has a bigger screen and a really keyboard! Unfortunately, it also runs Windows8. Anyone know anything about replacing laptop hard drives? Hopefully, it will last a bit longer. Time to pack another bowl.
Did the same thing last week, except my hard drive broke....lost 4 years worth of school work and 100's of songs
Yeah this, hard drives are pretty spendy. It could very well be the fans. Are you comfortable enough to open it up and check the fans, get some canned air and blow out any dust or hair that may have gotten into the fan blades? I'd check that everything is mounted properly while you're in there too.
