Soooo I'm an 18 year old male and I've recently gotten really close to a, get this, bisexual 58 year old man. I know it sounds strange, BUT he's a great guy. I met him at my job at a private company and didn't know he was gay for about two months until my friend who got me the job told me. He's hysterically funny. That's why I started talking to him a lot. He's just a really nice guy. All my friends (including my girlfriend) think I'm crazy for being friends with him they think it's creepy. They don't know him though and he's not creepy at all. He's just lonely and wants friends with common interests. And as strange as it sounds, me and him are quite alike. Basically what I wanna know is: is this strange??I'm just curious as to what others think.
Age doesn't determine whether or not that person is human or not. If ya'll share common interests then keep being friends with him.
Age is a number man im a firm believer in most cases I hung out with a bunch of 40-50 year olds wen i worked at a bar for 2 years. Also when i was around 18-19 me and a buddy hung out with this 30 year old parolee black dude. Chill as hell but im sure most people just thought he was our drug dealer

You're both adults, so there's nothing creepy about it. Sounds like you got a good thing going. Is it strange? Of course not man, you're both human, after all. Who would think it's strange for two adult humans to be friends?

Hahah, that's a great thing to have in common! I don't find it weird at all, I've made friends with an ~30 year old at college. And I'm bi! How weird is that If you don't find a problem with it, keep being friends!

Well, you're both consenting adults... For real though, it's good you can hang out with older individuals. I can guarantee if you were both women nobody would say a word, or if your friend was a women nobody would care. So go on and hang out with him. Get some advice from him because he's probably a font of knowledge. If his advice is "Let's try anal" though, then you may wanna slowly back away with your butt cheeks clenched.
I do not think that a straight man of his age would normally want to hang out with a young guy, but this doesn't mean that the older bisexual guy is necessarily going to make a play for him. He's probably attracted to some extent, but not interested in sex. I question the sexual tendencies of some older men that befriended me when I was younger, even though they all claimed to be 100% heterosexual. At least this fellow, which the OP is writing about, is open about his sexual preferences.
